Its nothing bad! It means you've got each others backs on matter what, he can trust you with his problems.. and to talk to. And you're his closest female friend.

but In addition I would also say that ,Decent guys don't call their girlfriends 'his b*tch.' These are slang terms and not respectful towards the young woman.

Some guys just like fooling around, so by saying home girl he means it as a joke. Even I have said this to my girlfriend once. Its just something different to say, because (i) we may get bored of saying the same thing every day and want to switch it up.
