How do I get my girlfriend to cook breakfast for me?

My girlfriend and I have been living together for about two years. She knows that I love to cook, and we have an arrangement for the cleaning of the dishes. I cook, she cleans the kitchen. It should be noted that I typically clean as I go, but there are always the plates leftover as well as putting the food away. On the weekends I will make a bigger breakfast for us to enjoy. I have also shown her how I make these meals because she wonders why things I make taste so different.

Just once I would like for her to make me breakfast. I have told her it would be a nice surprise and even if it did not turn out perfect I would still like it because it would be one less meal that I have to cook. It has been 8 months now with reminders every now and again about a breakfast made for me... And nothing! So ladies, what am I doing wrong here?

Just cook it together with her, show her some things and tricks. The day after that, ask her if she wants to try it on her own. If she says yes, well there you go. If she says no, I'm afraid she's not a big fan of cooking breakfast by herself...

I have tried this exactly... To no avail. She responded that I do such a good job at it that the would just mess it up.

Hm, maybe she really isn't into making breakfast? Or tell her she should just try it and if she's not sure about something, you'll help her?

I guess she doesn't feel like cooking it herself. You could just ask her, "why don't you ever do breakfast on your own?" Apparently the hints aren't getting you anywhere.

you should get stuff for a simple breakfast and tell her that you want her to do it this time, don't give a reminder just ask right away.

Maybe I am being silly by saying this, but if she wakes up before me, she will make toast or a bowl of cereal for herself. Just once I would like the smell of breakfast to be made for me, and not have to ask for it.

Start by cooking with her if she feels obligated she will cook for you on her own

We have cooked together many times, as she usually asks if there is anything she can help with. When she gets home from work I am already cooking. After she changes, she comes to the kitchen and tells me about her day.
