What does solidify mean? I know to turn something hard or to make solid. What is the definition when used for a relationship /friendship?

To solidify is to become a solid, like lemonade solidifying into a popsicle, or dissolved sugar solidifying into yummy rock candy. Also, this word can apply to non-physical things. If a couple gets engaged, they're solidifying their relationship. Getting a promotion could solidify your career. Anything becoming firmer or more real is a type of solidifying. In any sense, whatever gets solidified becomes stronger.

Wants to make whole or solid so that way you don't stray in their perspective. It's an affirmation that your an official status in a person's life; that they're making it official that they want you in there life and leaving at this point(if it does happen) can be hurtful. By the way psychologists say that if a friendship lasts for 7 years that the friendship will last a lifetime.
