If a girl says she doesn't want anything for her birthday does she mean it? Is she just saying that or does actually not want you to make an effort?

I'm thinking of writing her a love letter explaining everything I admire about her. Would it be a nice idea? We've only been dating for three months and I'm not sure what she loves and she won't tell me. She claims she doesn't enjoy her birthday because of previous problems with her family life. I'm just trying to be a supportive boyfriend help.

I say that, and I mean it.. but, before you know for sure, test it out, give a something and see her reaction.. that's really the only thing you can do, some girls say this to seem sweet or whatever but are actually disappointed when they don't recieve something..

HELL NO! She definitely wants something for her birthday, and if she doesn't get something she's gonna be pissed. When you give her the gift she's gonna say Aww, playfully hit you and say I told you I didn't want anything...and then rush to the goodies. haha

Some people actually mean it. And others don't want to seem to pushy or forward, that's why people usually decline an offer for something. It's pretty rude to ask for a present from someone.
