If you get your period late, is there a more chance of worse cramps?

In my experiences, yes. I missed my period for 3 months one time and when it finally came, the pain was so bad that my mind legit went numb and I had to be rushed to emergency because it was just so unbearable. Luckily, it got better within a day.

It all really depends on the person and their body though.

sometimes when our period is late its either we are stress. cramps? its normal if you had a late period. I don't feel that pain ever since but my sister keeps complaining about it. she felt that in one day then its gone. she never take any medication about it.

There may be some truth to that. Cramps are nothing more than your uterus contracting slowly... maybe when your period is late, your uterus contracts extra hard to get things started. Just a myth haha.

It's not a myth, it's a theory and it is correct. That's exactly what happens. Your uterus contracts and stays contracted. A late period is not part of the natural cycle and the extra hard, >prolonged< contractions cause pain. I don't get what she is "Not sure!" about. It being worse? It will hurt more and probably last longer.

Just so any girl knows, sex or playing with a dildo can help start a late period. A motrin or other pain relief like Ibuprofen will ease pain and help with cramps.

As far as I know, women with irregular periods tend to experience a more painful menstruation. It's true about my friends, I won't generalize but you might want to look at it.

You're not sure of what? Because cramps are an early sign of pregnancy.. bad ones too. If you have been sexually active and you haven't been 100% safe you might want to get a pregnancy test.

Your period is blood to nourish a fertilized egg. It is shed by contractions of muscles which causes cramping. It makes sense that if your period is late, there will be more blood accumulated and the cramps will be more severe because your body is fighting to reject the blood that is not needed for nourishing a growing baby. Bloating will also occur as this process goes down. Why no girls can understand that idk, it's real basic.

To willy it wasn't an interpretation,unless the pee stick and the fact I couldn't hold anything down at night for three weeks were a lie. But I was only 3 maybe 4 weeks. Horrid cramps though honestly thought I was gonna die. But everything has a purpose I suppose.
