Do guys like girls who debate?

There is a Guy I'm interested in and I found out that he likes to debate. From what I know about him, he seems respectful of different points of view. However, from my experience, when Guys debate me it feels like I'm arguing, I'm in a boxing match and I'm defending my turf instead of being understood and respected for my point of view. If a Guy likes to debate, does that mean he wants a female who debates too?

He needs a woman who likes to debate. I personally like to get along with people. Having a different opinion is one thing, but looking for things to debate over is annoying. I know I can't agree on everything, but spending my day bickering over it seems childish.

I tried dating a girl who loved arguing and it got real old real fast. She'd get mad if I wanted to talk and would literally go on for 30mins sometimes and if I ever tried to talk she'd accuse me over interrupting. She had the "I'm right you're wrong" syndrome too and would judge everyone over the littlest things.

Long story short guys don't care about debating per say, we like women that challenge us without throwing low blows. It's not interesting to date someone that agrees with you on everything and always does things your way. Feels like you're dating yourself with breasts >.>

Best thing you can do is be honest about what you like and where you stand when the topic comes up. Be yourself and if you're lucky, you're exactly what he's looking for.

well, there's diplomatic debating. I'm into that. Basically where it's more discussion than arguing.

But as for a girl, I really wouldn't care either way. As long as she's actually thoughtful and intelligent in what she debates with me and not just something like "I think religion is a scam." "why?" "BECAUSE IT IS! ONLY DUMB PPL ARE RELIGIOUS!"

or also, rather than just having no explanation for something, lacking critical thought. Like if she were to say "this person hates something I like? Well I must hate them back!" "why? That's just a vicious cycle of unnecessary hate." "Who cares!?!? If they hate something I like, I should hate them!" "..."

It varies from person to person and also depends on what his/her mood is . I like to debate on topics that I know will only end up in a laugh, truth and to learn about something ...

when you debate try not to come across as aggressive and agitated rather be understanding towards his points and get your point through in a friendly but firm manner and it should all work out fine !

Yes, it's a turn on. I like women who can debate, argue, discuss things. As long as there's respect, open-mindedness and understanding.

See I have my own opinion and have no problem articulating it but the arguing is what would bother me. It's too much and a turn off. I need to be understood for sure :)

when I say argue. I mean discussing things intellectually. no yelling or talking over people or anger. once that stuff happens I'm done

Yeah I like to get into a fun interesting debate. I like to see their viewpoint but I'll never get into a debate that gets angry

I knew a Guy who loved arguing with Women to see what we though of him. It got old real quick and I dumped him LOL

I wouldn't think so. Aren't guys into that submissive type stuff?

Perhaps some are interested in the submissive type but that doesn't mean that with submission one cannot have their own opinion and be cherished for it.
