Does it make it a difference or do they mean the same thing to you? Which one do you prefer? Do you prefer to be called handsome or sexy?
They are definitely different...
I would prefer to be called handsome rather than sexy from anyone if I'm in a relationship, I don't want to be projecting sex if I already have a girlfriend...

I actually like both.
To me, handsome means I'm attractive, presentable, manly, and desirable. Sexy is a lot similar to handsome, but a little more extreme.
i prefer to call him handsome, sexy is compliment for girls
My s/o says sexy is better. He doesn't know why.

I'd rather be handsome in general, but sexy to my girlfriend.
Call me anything you want... just call me!
The compliments have zero value and cost nothing. More important is what people do, not what they say. So it doesn't really matter what they say about us. Like in the old joke:
- Moses, you know, what they say about you when you're not around?
- Abraham, when I am not around, they can even f.. ck me.SEXY... because it means some characteristic evokes their interest to engage with you on intimate physical terms. The FIRST and most fundamental and natural survival drive is to pass on YOUR genes. The female predisposition to glamour and couture is to represent themself as 'desire'-able to solicit 'courtship'...
Sexy feels more lustful and handsome for wifey. Depends on situation but sexy can boost confidence and handsome can show how much you like him and see attracted to him.
If I had to choose it would be sexy from. my girlfriend unless I'm well dressed then handsome is much better. In all cases handsome from other people.I always found it found handsome funny... It's basically saying if you have a lot of money you are good looking... smh
1. (of a man) good-looking
2. (of a number, sum of money, or margin) substantial.
I'm sure you can come up with something better.I hate being called "handsome" because, to me, it's not a genuine compliment. Especially coming from a woman in my age group who isn't related to me. I personally define that word as a sugar-coated way of saying "You're not ugly, but I'm still too good for you."
The only time "handsome" is appropriate is when a grown woman is referring to a 10 year-old kid wearing a suit with his hair slicked back.
Sexy, hot, and fine are the only true compliments a woman can give a man according to his looks, and those are the only ones I'll accept. Both are good to hear, however it depends on the person and they are definitely not the same. If you like me romantically, I want to hear sexy. If it's just a compliment, then handsome is better for that. While it's still nice to hear (we guys don't get a lot of compliments usually), I don't really think anything of handsome. Like, it would still be nice to hear sexy, but if you had no interest in me (because this will make me wonder), then don't say it.
It depends on who is saying it and where. For example, if your mother says sexy 🤢🤮. Assuming you mean a partner, then I'd say it doesn't matter which one aslong as it isn't weird with other people around. For example, don't go meet his parents and refer to him as sexy.
I would rather be called pretty (similar to handsome but for gurls, you know). Almost anyone can get sexy if they are naked... plus, being pretty is more general as sexy eould be a word only people who are sexually attracted to
your gender would use. There's just something about hearing a girl call me sexy that makes me feel really good and desireable. When they call me handsome it doesn't have the same effect. It's more of like a polite gesture when I'm dressed well. It never really hits home like sexy does.
Iv been called many things cute, hot, sexy, handsome, good looking I prefer handsome to be honest I am a formal old fashioned guy so it suits me. But for the most part I don't really care whatcha call me as long as you call me something lol.
both kind of mean the same thing but honestly prefer being called Handsome because Sexy is thrown around to much these days I think. Handsome is a more wholesome and classy compliment in my opinion.
I dunno. They're both sort of equally good.
I guess handsome really just cause it's sorta equivalent of beautiful or gorgeous for a woman so it implies less lusty emotions but sexy also works.Cute, attractive, neat... I dunno, handsome and sexy just feel like a bit much, but that might be my self-esteem speaking. I just like compliments that aren't just appearance based.
I'd prefer handsome in most contexts, in bed "sexy" might be more appealing however.
As for the girl further down using "pretty"...
Please don't...I don't know, I kinda prefer sexy since its in a more teasing/flirting way. But Handsome is alone a nice compliment, reminds me of "Handsome Jack" (Character in my favorite Videogame).
how could they be the same? they mean very different things? I would love either but that just doesn't happen. Women rarely complement men, though were are supposed to complement women nonstop.
Anything but "cute". "Cute" is almost never good as a man. Sexy seems a bit more sexually charged to me than handsome, which sounds more professional/classy, maybe that's just personal bias though.
dont make a diference to me. not even if i dont get called those things... i usually thank the person for the compliment, but i pretty much shrug at the thought.
