From an SO I guess sexy, because handsome is what my parents or grandparents generation call me, so it feels more like a platonic term, and I'd rather have something a bit stronger than platonic from a wife.
when i hear handsome, i feel great but when i hear sexy, i dont think ever, even once happened, it just does not feel like me.

Handsome tells me she thinks I'm attractive but in a more proper manner and sexy is saying that she not only thinks I'm attractive but she's ready to go at it right here and right now. I'd rather be called sexy most of the time.
To be honest, being called sexy would probably make me extremely uncomfortable unless done in private. But really, both are fine. I just don't want to be called 'cute.'
In general? Handsome. Because being called sexy (while flattering) would be a bit uncomfortable if it was just a random person or an acquaintance. But if it was like a significant other, then it would be normal.
Handsome is that you look good Sexy is I'd do ya. Would you want your grandmother to think your sexy? Hell no not me and if you do I don't judge but stay far away from me please.

I just want the villagers to stop throwing rocks and food at me. :'(
No I guess. They like it more when they are doing it and you say "wow, I love you and take " his name"

I would probably be happier with handsome. "Sexy" is so over used that it practically comes across as small talk.
I don't mind being called either one as well as being called "honey", "dear" or "sweetheart/sweetie" by both my partner and others.
Both but handsome sounds more respectable and desirable and sexy sound like a high school girl commenting on one of my profile pic lol

I wouldn't mind both.. Although in the long run, handsome is the way to go.. Sexy seems like a temporary thing for some reason..
Handsome for sure
Sexy is good but handsome is a level above. It’s the ultimate. Handsome means he is cute sexy hot all of it
I feel like a guy is handsome and can do things that are sexy.
My mother called me handsome... So for the love of Satan anything other than that.
Llol
Actually prefer cute, but always get handsome. Think sexy is better out of the two though.
Ha, i will always get shy and can't even speak when someone compliment me like that lol! Don't ask me why!
both are great, but sexy is just that little bit more
Just find your own way of calling the one you love/like and they will love it , my girlfriend just calls me cutie 😂😂
Either one is a compliment, and I really don't care which one is used. it's all good
Handsome is that you look good
Sexy is I'd do ya.
