Is my mechanic flirting with me?

Im 18 and think my mechanic is flirting with me. Its kinda weird but I don't know if I'm over looking it.. It only comes off when I text him. He calls me girl a lot and uses a lot of smiley faces. and sometimes he ttly dismissed my mechanical questions.Cept last time I saw him in person I had my ex with me not the only time but to help me swap vehicles Because I've been car shopping.. and he said something about "my boyfriend"n I said "he's not my boyfriend" he apologized and I said its okay. He just thought Because he was with me. and another thing was I told him it'd be nice if he could come with me and scott (step dad like figure really good friends with my mom that's how I met mechanic) to car shopping Because no one takes me seriously and he said well your young and pretty. and something tht was kinda weird was that scott even said pete (mechanic) would be a good boyfriend for me Because "he could make my car real fast" lol only if I was like that. I don't know if he has a wife of girlfriend never heard of her or even a mention but he has 3 kids. Tweenagers. He hasn't done anything to make me feel uncomfortable he's been 100% respectful. I think he may have been drinking(Saturday) lol but I don't know he only gets 'confident' (?) Via text. He s a nice guy tho. And I've never hit up for anything besides car stuff.
