What does it mean when a guy wants brownie points?

I met this guy last week at work and we really hit it off in terms of conversation etc. I am starting to really like him, but he's hard to read, so I can't tell if he likes me back. last night at Midnight, he sent me a text saying, that he wanted to be the first to wish me a happy Valentine's day. I sent him a text back thanking him and wishing him a nice day. He then texted me back and asked if that means he got brownie points. Does that mean that he has feelings for me or might want a relationship?

Hm, it doesn't always mean that he has feelings for you. It definitely means he wants to get on your good side though, and that he wants you to feel a certain way about him. But it's too hard to tell if he's intereted in you with just that bit of info. The fact taht he sent you the V Day message first means he wants to stand out in your mind and that he wanted you to feel special. But still, some guys might say things like that to a girl but not necessarily "like" her. I've done things like that myself. Some guys just want to be cool friends like that.

You gotta get more info from him, or wait to see if he asks you out. Maybe throw out some bait about somewhere you wanna go eat go or a movie youd like to see and see if he takes it and asks if you wanna go with him?

Brownie points is like sucking up to your boss in order to get preferential treatment over other people. He was probably joking but at the same time flirting in a friendly kind of way that could latter on develop into something more meaningful. Also ''Does that mean that he has feelings for me or might want a relationship?'' I don't know but I do know that If you're attractive & have a very unique personality that just clicks with his than yea I'd say that you could capture his heart.
