In the UK, Marks and Spencer has issued an apology after putting daffodils next to spring onions (scallions) under a sign that said "eat well". Unfortunately, daffodils are poisonous.

Now I've done a bit of googling and found that supermarket are warned to keep daffodils away from vegetables because people are dumb. It's not hard to find examples of people who have eaten them and ended up in hospital.

Now we all know GAG is the site where people ask questions like "Where do things go when I close my eyes?" and "why hasn't my goldfish drunk all its water?" so I thought this is the ideal place to find the type of people who would eat daffodils.

hello, my parents want to take me to a vacation they planned. I still have to pay my part.

The intinerary is this: 3 days to see Machu Picchu. Fly to Panama for 3 days. From there take a 7 day cruise to Abc islands and Cartagena. Days: aprox 13 days including traveling. Price: about $1500-2500 total.

Context : My friend and I are arguing, I feel like she's settiting higher expectations aswell as not taking this seriously. Below are 2 texts.

Me:"Okay so I know Ur busy and I know that u can't respond all the time. I also understand that u don't want deep convos all the time and I get that. However I can't be understanding to the point that I ignore how I feel. I feel that we do only talk when u have a college question or issue. I feel that when I speak about "chill" things that u don't want to ask me more. I know that everyone should priorize themselves but at the end of the day if everyone did and I'll use an example :like a road with a give way sign, if no one let the cars into the road and put others first then we would all be in a traffic jam. l think my point is that sometimes Ur too wrapped up in Ur stuff to be aware enough that other things are going on too. I think we do have polar opposite views and that we are at different stages. But it goes beyond that, you need to improve from the inside out too. I think my points are valid and that if I do make mistakes I own up to them, this isn't one of them. I think u need to reflect "

28F, I’m just leaning towards bad luck. I’m very introverted & not the friendliest but I don’t think I’m intimidating. I’m told I’m cute/attractive, it’s not like I’m a runway model yet guys just never approach me. I’m told guys look at me but they never do anything about it & I’m too shy. I know there’s nothing wrong with me, most women seem to get guys so easily. That’s why I’ve been on and off the apps since I was maybe 18, getting matches has never been a prob. Convo always fades, ghosting, lack of interest (goes both ways) & some guys who are crazy. I’ve tried a lot of them, usually I stick with Hinge. Rupert Murdoch admitted during a sworn deposition that top personalities at Fox News promoted a baseless narrative that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from Donald Trump, according to a recent filing in a voting machine company’s billion-dollar lawsuit against the network.

The chair of the right-wing media empire said that hosts including Maria Bartiromo, Lou Dobbs, Sean Hannity and Jeanine Pirro “endorsed at times this false notion of a stolen election,” claims that the former president and his allies continue to amplify as he seeks re-election to office in 2024.

“I would have liked us to be stronger in denouncing it in hindsight,” Mr Murdoch said, according to court documents.

His remarks follow a revealing 192-page filing in Dominion Voting Systems’ $1.6bn defamation lawsuit against the network, a bombshell document that compiles testimony and messages from Fox News employees that piece together how the network aired evidence-free claims about election “irregularities” to keep viewers enthralled with conspiracy theories against their own private admissions that, in their words, were “nonsense” and “bull****”.

But if they didn't keep up the lies, Sean Hannity discussed the damage a competitor could really do to Fox News, describing it as a potentially “serious problem.”

“That could happen,” Tucker Carlson replied.

The hosts were so alarmed by Newsmax’s rise, they were enraged when their colleague, FOX White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich, tweeted a mere fact check of Trump’s election lies.

“Please get her fired,” Carlson told Hannity. “Seriously What the f**k? I’m actually shocked. It needs to stop immediately, like tonight. It’s measurably hurting the company. The stock price is down. Not a joke.”

Murdoch agreed that “it is not red or blue, it is green,” according to the court documents.

I think most women around me would consider any guy even a year younger than her as a "little brother" and not consider him as a possible love interest.

Do you find yourself ruling someone out when you find out he's actually younger than you? Say, 4 or 5 years younger

I'm trying to get a feel of how many guys are okay with dating/have been interested in older women.

I'm talking +5 years older, specially when guys are in their 20s.

I know some women wouldn't go for younger guys, even if it's only a year or two, so what about you?

A couple of friends and I were discussing the topic of racism. Someone in the group actually thinks racism only applies if it's the white person with the hatred towards blacks or other minorities, since they are the ones with more privileges and it's more common. He said that if a black hates whites it's likely that they're traumatized due to years of slavery and mistreatment but not racism.

What do you think? If a black person distrusts and hates whites, is that racism?

My co-worker did deserve his 1 week suspension as he got frustrated and broke a pizza screen. But he was relieved he wasn't fired and could return to work the next week.

However when the new schedule came out, he wasn't on it. Throughout that week he tried calling and texting our boss asking what's going on. He got no responses. She never told him to come in or anything.

After not getting any responses my co-worker physically went in. But had to go in the next day because our boss wasn't there. The next day he went in and our boss said he's fired. She could have fired him 3 weeks ago instead of suspending him so he knew to look for other employment.

He admits he deserved the suspension. But he didn't deserve having our boss make him believe he still had a job at the end of his suspension.

I'm not surprised by this, because our boss is known to use her position to punish all of us. Even if she thinks you did something wrong and you defend yourself. She'll cut people's hours that make innocent mistakes.

People quit there all the time because of how she controls us knowing we need a paycheck. She also calls us stupid, idiots, and retards behind our backs. We know this because we all have traded stories of her talking about each other.

I just think it's wrong making him believe he still had a job just to fire him. With all the open jobs available, he could have been starting a new job and not have to worry about having money to pay his bills. I really feel with her track record, she did it to punish him more than he was suppose to be.

Oh and she has her daughter and son-in-law working there, and times out orders with the bigger tips so they can take those deliveries and the big tips.

I use to think my other co-workers were being paranoid. But I see everything is true.
