1. The Ottoman Empire and its Protestant policy

The development and spread of Protestantism in Europe occurred to a significant extent within the context of Ottoman policy. Even France, our ally whom we kept outside the anti-Ottoman Crusader coalitions, carried out the St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre against Calvinists in 1572. The Ottoman sultan's stern letter in response is particularly famous. The Ottomans took many Protestants under their protection and supported them during sectarian conflicts.

2. The United States and its Jewish-Kurdish policy

The United States, supposedly acting in the name of democracy, killed millions of civilians in Iraq while granting autonomy to the Kurds, including the establishment of a major military presence along the Iran-Turkey border. It is also Israel's only real ally. As a result, Israel is able to attack its neighbors freely, like a starving dog.

3. Europe and its LGBT policy

European countries believe that LGBT individuals should be granted not only marriage rights but also affirmative action, and they want to impose economic penalties on those who refuse to comply.

What type of chest hair on men do you find attractive?

I work with a guy named Steve. We are not friends but I would say the relationship falls into the "work friends" category. We get along and have good banter back and forth. We work in other buildings but cross paths from time to time when we need to.

The other day I asked Steve a question through text about work. I asked him if his work load was getting light because mine was and I wanted to see if that was just me or across the company.

He completely ignored my text for three days. Then. He needed a question answered about an assignment so he asked me but he never responded to my question or had an explanation why he never answered.

Is this a red flag? I'm left wondering how to feel in situations like this because it feels minor and not a huge deal, but it also feels like he's not respectful to my point of view and only was reaching out because HE needed something.

I'm always left wondering if I should let it go because it's minor or if I should just write him off in my mind as someone i can't trust. Situations like this always seem to arrive so maybe people in general are just unintentionally disrespectful?

For everyone who was around back in 2001 to have either heard the news or watched it live on TV when the planes hit the Twin Towers, what were your immediate thoughts?

Do you remember exactly where you were that morning when it happened, and does it honestly feel like it has been 25 whole years since that day, or does it still feel like it was just yesterday? When you first heard the news or saw the television coverage, did you originally think when the first plane hit that it was just a horrible accident and something meant to not take serious at first? Did it take seeing that second plane hit live on the broadcast for you to completely realize that the country was actually under attack?

It is crazy to think that a quarter of a century has passed since that moment completely changed the entire world. I want to open up a respectful space for people to look back, reflect, and share their firsthand memories, their reactions to the news, and how they think the country has changed over the last 25 years. Corporations are making record profits while everyone else suffers. They don;t give raises that allow workers to stay ahead of inflation. Most no longer offer Healthcare to employees. They receive Gov't welfare with grants and tax breaks. Many violate environmental laws and pollute water. Most don;t offer retirement pensions. Many Corporations are US companies that get make products in other countries and don;t even hire Americans.
