Have you ever visited the 9/11 Memorial in New York?

I visited the site in 2008 when construction was still going on. I was amazed at how big and deep that hole in the ground was.

Yes I go often.
I bring a white rose to Eugene, my childhood friend who was working for Cantor Fitzgerald after graduating from Cooper Union. He will always be a part of childhood friend group.
I am happy how the city rebuilt the site. It’s serene and touching. Anyone visiting NYC should definitely visit the memorial. The museum will be free on Sunday afternoons starting Oct. if anyone interested. Still till night time… it’s a feeling that touches the soul.

I have never been there. NYC was a nice city to visit when Rudy Giuliani was mayor. I doubt I will be visiting with the current terrorist in charge of the city.

I was there in 2008 and went to see the Yankees and Red Sox play in the old Yankee Stadium just before it was bulldozed. I visited Ground Zero and could not believe how big and how deep the hole was. There were a few large dump trucks and bulldozers that looked like toys they loomed so small. New York was fun to go for a visit but probably not today.

It still is a fun place to visit.
The best is when you know someone who knows the ins and outs to take you around. Otherwise it can get overwhelming.!
Don’t go to the touristy areas.

The first time I visited NYC (a long long time ago), I saw the Mets play the Cubs at Shea Stadium. I have been there’s since 2001, but never visited the memorial.

@midnightmoon05 I have a lot of family from there and most have left. We used to think the cab rides were cringy, but they seem tame compared to the problems the city has today. I’ll stick to my backyard! 😂

I took my mom and little sister years ago.
But after traveling around the world.. NYC is not impressive… a great place to make money 💲😊

@midnightmoon05 My cousin got married in Jersey City and the reception was right across the river from the twin towers. They were pretty impressive.

I haven’t visited because I live in Australia. My Dad actually told me he watched it live on television the day 9/11 happened. I was only 3 in 2001 so I don’t remember what I was doing that day.

My dad was 40 in 2001 so he’s old enough to remember what he was doing that day. The 9/11 was broadcasted live in many countries around the world including Australia.

Yes, I visited Ground Zero in 2015, at night. It was humbling.
