I would like to think so, especially if he's already in a relationship with someone else. Guys should be able to have platonic friendships with heterosexual females. If they can't, then there's something wrong with them.
Depends on how they became friends. One liked the other and ended up in the friend zone? That's a no no. My female friends are gay or married and I'm cool with the husband out of respect...
Most of my friends are guys. Yeah they liked me at one point, but eventually they grew out of it and are okay with being friends now. Others never liked me in that way and we are just like siblings. So it can happen.
Thumbs up for your honesty. However , I disagree with your statement. Someone who uses someone and is transparent in nature is a characteristic trait that not all women possess. Thank God! I am one of them.
Of course guys and girls can be just friends, as long as there is no physical attraction. They can also be friends if one or both of them already have a SO.
I have a best friend female, we are both sexually attracted to each other and we admit it but we CHOOSE as adults to not have sex Now she has a husband and well I've distanced myself a bit for obvious reasons
No. Not without wanting to bone like rabits. All of my male friends always came onto me. Not saying I had sex with them, but it was considered. I at one point may also think about it.
There was some study where they experimented with a bunch of pairs of male and female friends, and about 90% of the guys said they would date the girl if they had the chance.
I think it could be possible but I doubt it. From the female view we think it is possible for the male is not because for males they only think about the physical part of the attraction, only sex and nothing more
that´s so damn right. i mean as long as i´m single and she´s attractive, i will wait for the "crack" in her armor. but women don´t feel that way, i think. they can find you physically attractive but stull only want friendship.
Friends, sure. I have female friends I'm not attracted to. But best friends would be hard for me. If I'm best friends with a girl I'm probably in love.

So the problem is if the lady is attractive so the guys can't be friends because they will think of the sex issue?
@kitty71 I wouldn't say that. A lady can be attractive or unattractive and still only be platonic.
How can that be aquaired? Im interesting to know to apply it to myself with this male friend I have
@kitty71 How can they be acquired? Well, the guy needs to have the same mindset. Some guys aren't willing to. But some guys are.
I agree with you. Not possible unless both are completely unattracted to one another.
Either way too ugly/unappealing to one another, or gay.

The perception from females is yes.
The honest answer from most males is NO.
Wow that was eye opening. This said so much. Its almost as if the girls live in their own lie

Yes, it's possible. Once you start to see the other person as a human being and not just another possible partner things will be fine.
LMAO! Women don't have male friends. Women have male-orbiters that they use for different things.
Most women ain't got your back in a fight like a true male friend would.
Thumbs up for your honesty.

**Thank God! I am NOT one of them.
Of course a straight man, such as myself, can be friends with a woman... so long as I'm not physically/emotionally attracted to her.

I barely got male friends. Most of my friends are females. I don't see where the dillema is o. o.
So ad long as the friendship is not deep, just casual.
I mean not emotionally involved or touchy touchy.
So, I agree with you.

Unless I'm not attracted to her appearance at the first place.
Never call me shallow, that's the reality.

i'm incapable of having guy friends for the reasons you stated above
friends? Yes! Best friends? Nah. One of them will catch feeling sooner or later.
