Why I Prefer Betta Males

Betta males are usually very attractive to women, but why?

1. They dress well. They look good and they know it, showing off their bod at every opportunity. If you put a mirror in front of them, they will really strut their stuff which is a lot of fun to watch.

2. They are good-natured. Yes, that flashy guy over there will try to take down any other male in his path but can be very sweet to females. Some aren't, it's true, but the last one I had was a darling who got along with everyone.

3. They're easy to care for. All they really want is a place to crash and some food. See that their basic needs are cared for, and they will come to you eager to please.

So that's why I always have a betta male around. I just really enjoy their company.

From what I've seen of people describing alpha and betas there have been a bunch of different definitions; I suspect usually often based on that individuals terms (they want to create their version most likely to have a goal to strive to or reinforce their ego). I haven't seen a scientific reference described that has much consistency. I've mostly seen the term fitted to align to the person with the opinion, and what I noticed they seem to be doing is giving or rationalizing the alpha person with lots of positive qualities. That's what I meant by I haven't seen any kind of scientific evidence come close to support the broad claim with any consistency. They seem to pick and choose and rationalize the alpha as positive positive positive. For example in nature the dominant male is likely to force sex regardless of the submissive females mood. A lot of people supporting the alpha theories existence would likely claim that the rape was beta. I don't see a consistency with the logic behind that though. So like I said they are good and good and good. So whatever is alpha is good, but leaders in nature are not always ethical (North Korea, Hitler, Ivan the terrible) But those people would likely be betas to the alpha proponents.

There are mature men and women who develop strong paternal and maternal feelings as they grow up and are emotionally and mentally matured. There are men and women who don't develop those feelings as they grow up for many reasons.

The first group are the mature group that will lead the society together regardless of how much is their physical power, thus they are the Alphas in the human society's hierarchy.

The second group are big children with sexual feelings and confused emotions that hardly try to make a living for themselves while fighting with their confused sexual and emotional desires in their entire life and in the end, will be controlled by the first group in the society.

There is Master and slave. Jew and gentile. Not Alpha and Beta.

thats exactly the problem , they are too sweet and nice for a boyfriend, they are not rough, assertive, deccisive or great boyfriend material, they wait for permission, they act like white knights and fight their own gender just so one girl can be happy about it , thats not how you get girls it doesn't work if your objective consists of dating and eventually bedding women.

they make good but friends who girls call brother or best friend, but that does not get you laid nor gets you a great girl which is something that everyone pretty much agrees on.

i think who most people consider "beta" as the actual "alpha"

it takes a true alpha to get along with everyone but step up for themselves when the time is right. the real alpha doesn't need to rise above others to show confidence he just radiates confidence constantly without having to try, these are the guys you see at bars landing the smokeshows. the guys who pick fights drink the most and use loud boisterous pick up lines and shit are the ones going home too drunk and by themselves.

I was married to an "alpha" guy who got in trouble at work for starting fights. He threatened me constantly when he was in a bad mood, and belittled our son to the point where he wouldn't talk at home. I was shocked when his teacher mentioned he was the most outgoing kid in school because I had no idea. His personality was completely suppressed at home.

My ex would rant and rave that everything in the house belonged to him because I quit my job to stay home with our son when he was little, something we agreed on before we married. He tried to say that even the car that saved $5,000 for (the down payment) while I was working belonged to him. I don't need an "alpha." I want someone who is willing to share equally.

However this post is about fish. It was a joke.

Women when they have kids involved want a mate who they can control and is kind to their kids. aka a beta male. Yet basically despise men like this when they are without kids, still young and don't want to settle down.

I don't despise them... clearly I dated one! I didn't want kids when I was dating my husband. I never intended to have any. Over time, things changed but we'd been married five years before we decided to have kids.

I do understand the point that men want to feel successful and strong. My issue is that it seems that everyone who walks around beating his chest and bragging "Alpha Male!" also feels the need to suppress women and beat on them.

The point I'm trying to make is this. The whole "Alpha / beta" thing is false. Every man should have the qualities that make him strong and successful. He needs to have confidence in himself that comes from knowing who he is and being comfortable in his own skin. It is a lack of confidence that drives him to try to prove it in ridiculous ways.

Beating your chest and proclaiming your superiority is actually a sign of inferiority. A person doesn't have to be dominant to be desirable. No one wants to be dominated, either men or women.

NO MAN should put up with a domineering woman. Two people need to RESPECT each other's strengths and PROTECT each other's weaknesses. That's what a partnership... a marriage... a good, safe, healthy relationship IS.
