The caregiver of my own soul,


A passenger in the vessel known as my body,


Blessed with this miracle called life,


I am lucky to be here.



Yet when I look in the mirror,


And I see my dark long hair falling down my shoulders,


My brown eyes staring back at me intensely,


I suddenly have a hard time looking back.



I know that you know,


I know that you know how awful I treated you,


I know that you still remember the names I called you,


I know that you know, that I pushed you away when I needed you the most.
