My Take on Love, and Why I Vow to Keep Trying

So I know what you're thinking. Here's another poor sap's opinion on something that doesn't exist. I mean how can you possibly care about someone who isn't your family? Well I'm here to tell you I have family (shocker right) and I can barely exist in the same room as them.

Love by definition is having a deep affection for a thing or person. And sometimes you find a person who you have a deep connection with, but always ends up biting you in the ass. Now you think you might be alone; you might think there will never be another chance to find someone who made you feel so special. You're not alone.

A great man once told me "love hurts"(or maybe I heard it in a song, I don't honestly remember). Being in love is such a wonderful thing. You feel like you can fly, you wait all hours of the day to see her face again. And when you're with the person you're in love with, nothing else exist. Who would want to give up such a great feeling right?

My Take on Love, and Why I Vow to Keep Trying

Anyone who's ever been in love or thought what they believed was love, knows its both the greatest and worst feeling in the world. I myself have been in love once or twice. I know what it feels like to be so vulnerable. I have given a girl everything I had to offer, just to be lied to. Now I'm not perfect in any way, but I did the best I could to be honest and true. To some people that's not good enough.

When you watch a movie or television, love is always depicted as spontaneously bringing a girl flowers. Or buying her the biggest diamond ring you can find. To me it's about not giving up. To stand in the face of death and say " not today". I have been broken in the past, I have been lied to, cheated on, manipulated, but still I hold hope. Despite being through hell and back. I am willing to try again; against all odds.
