A Heartfelt Letter to My Future Girlfriend

Hello my love. At the time of this writing, barring the most incredible of circumstances, we have yet to meet. And yet, I love you. Yes, I truly, deeply, with all of my heart and every fiber of my being, love you. Do you know why? Because though I don't know what you look like, I know you will be beautiful to my eyes. And though I don't know what your personality and your quirks will be like, I know that your personality, imperfections and all, will be perfect to me.

I can't wait to be super affectionate and romantic with you. To hold you, snuggle with you, hug you, kiss you, stroke your hair, look into your eyes and say "I love you". I want to make you happy, to make you smile. I want to make you feel like the most special girl in the world. I expect nothing less of myself, and I know you'll love making me happy too.

I can't wait to talk with you, get to know you, make a connection with you so deep and strong that it could never be broken. I know that when times get tough, we will have each other to turn to, and our love will be strong enough to withstand anything. Whenever you need me, I will always be there, you can tell me anything, you can trust me. Just like I know I will trust you.

I can't wait to go on dates and do so many fun things together with you. We'll go to the park, have picnics in grassy fields, lie under the stars, watch sunsets and so much more. We'll do things I've dreamed of doing with you since I was a kid, we'll do things you've dreamed of, we'll discover new things we both love together, things that are ours and ours alone.

I know, the chances of your first love being your last are super low. Cynical people will always say it can't be done. And maybe they're right. But I believe that if you go in expecting it to end, the relationship is essentially already over. So do not worry, I have no intention of us breaking up, no imagining my second girlfriend. As long as we are together, there is no second girlfriend, only you. And I have every intention of staying with you to the end of our lives and into whatever afterlife comes next

Finally, I want to thank you. Thank you for being the first to take a chance on me, for being the first to open your heart to me, for being the first to love me. When other girls ignored me or turned me away, you stayed. You saw something in me, something I'm not sure I even see in myself. You may consider yourself lucky to have me. I know I will consider it the other way around. I guess none of that really matters anyways. What really matters is that we will both have each other. Hopefully forever.

Some times strength isn't defined by how far you can run or how much weight you can lift but by how generous and caring a person can be. The heart is always the strongest muscle. You see, those negative people don't care about love and probably will not but we shouldn't lose all hope. It's after all holding onto it.
