What Love is According To ME And Why it is Important

This is just MY definition of love.

Now let me begin...Love is everywhere, love for family, love for a friend, love for my cat, love for my dog, love for my talking parrots, love for a book, love for a singer, love for LIFE, love for the significant other, or the person we love, but can never have...

Love is beautiful, because it's a feeling! Feelings are always beautiful because they make us humans. What is a human without feelings? However they are ugly sometimes...

Without the darkness, there is no light.

Like I mentioned, it's a part of being human, so we have no other choice except to deal with them in our best way possible, smiling and knowing we're not doing a mistake. I have stopped feeling ashamed about MY feelings, because they make me feel alive, make me feel my blood in my veins, different from the times I never cared about anyone except my mom, and my dad...Now it's different, I feel proud about myself even tho sometimes I feel like my feelings are just the innocence of a young girl, that doesn't know what real life is and how harsh it is, but still feels in her own way...It's alright, we ALL have our own ways of feeling things, and our own ways of showing/ expressing those feelings.

I think one of the main reasons we come, as spirits, into this physical realm, is to feel love through our hearts.Someone told me "I'm a human, you know what does that mean? It means I have a heart, I feel things!" That verse stuck in my head forever even tho the person is not part of my life anymore. While a good friend recently said, “It’s never wrong to love,” and I agree with her.

Love happens and love can complete itself.

We can’t negotiate love, can we? It is or it isn’t. Love is exquisite and mysterious that way.

I believe, that everyone who crosses our paths does so for a cosmic reason: We touch lives and others touch ours for the lessons we came here to learn. It is always right to open our hearts to another. It is always a gift, even when that gift causes us pain. Through it we get to experience “the light upon this earth”.

We are never too young or too old to love...We just do...in a fabulous way... And there is no such thing as "I'm learning to love"...Love has no rules, no boundaries , no time or no distance...it's not stupid, it's actually VERY wise that's why it makes you fall...

When you opened your take with "she is 16! She's just another child pretending to know what love is." i was really hyped up about the rest of your take. Expecting a miracle where you indeed figured out the secret behind love that young. Sadly i can't share your views, but i do want to challenge you if your willing to experience what true love really is to me ! (Stop reading now if you want to stick with your views, please do not let me try to convince you if your not open to it).

If you want to learn what love really is, pay close attention to yourself and look past your feelings. Because like you said, love is everywhere. But i never had these typical butterfly feelings for my cat, just an incredible bond and i really loved that animal! If you want to experience the beauty of true love you need to start paying attention to all layers of it and not be together with someone for the sole reason they make you feel good.

Feelings are easily mistaken for love, it potentially causes scenario's which are defined as "I love him but i hate him". For people who recognize that sentence, you are not experiencing actual love at that exact moment.

This is very good. The one thing I would disagree on is love being a feeling. It's more than that I believe. You won't find a feeling as strong as love nor as long lasting. Love is something more. I don't know what or how to describe it, all I know is that it's beautiful. Well done ☮️❤️

I don't think most women have any idea of what love really is but they get the concept of love. Most women are self serving and relationship tend to go heavily one way. Hence, why money transfer when you look at most relationship goes from men to women.

Let see more men self sacrifice themselves for women than the reverse. In relationship more men are the ones who give (money, gift transfer heavily go towards women) than the reverse. More men are invested in relationship than women and take it more seriously than the reverse (most breakups/divorce are made by women).

It's quite clear which gender has a clear understanding of love and sacrifice.
