Let me start off by saying that this is not some myTake in which is extremely unique and informative. I am typing all of this because it is currently something I am dealing with, and what better time to talk about it when you are actually going through it at that moment. I see a lot of people ruin their social lives due to bitterness, and I would like to connect with those people somehow and give a hand - a hand that is different than saying "oh, just be positive", or, "just don't let it get to you, that's all"
Bitterness leads to awful things in a person's life. It leads to unnecessary anger and resentment towards things or people. Because of that, you are almost always going through some negative emotion or just adopted some wicked philosophy to your life with the help of other bitter people. Groups like MGTOW for example reach out to other men who have had a bad life in the dating scene and try to preach to those men how women are evil. Due to a group like that just simply existing leaves a man believing that his predicament in romance is "special", and may go on to think he is almost like a "chosen one" to hate the other sex in a creative view. This is vice versa to women and whichever group they flock to in these troubled times.
Bitterness - The Growth

The bitter philosophy that is adapted to one's life all begins early in their life. The rejections and hard times when they were young now act as a ticking time-bomb. As soon as one thinks about their journey in life, they go back to when they were young and see how they encountered the same problem then: a rejection, a hard time, a bad person, etc. These types of problems are actually very common in life, but when they occur at a young age it can really leave an impact on someone years later. For me personally, when I was young I would get bullied, hearing how I would never get married. This did affect me then, but not nearly as much as it did when I grew older. If I faced rejection often, I might would go back to my younger days and then come to an agreement with my fate. It would all make sense, as if the stars were aligning - at least to me.
How do we look past bad times when we were children? Is there a secret to it? Because it is really hard. My opinion is this: It is not easy to look past, but one or two people did not know how you would live your life years from that particular moment. Just say it to yourself: "When I was 12, someone said I would die alone. They just knew it because....?" See? Sounds silly, and silly is something you can't have!
Bitterness Refuses to Go Away

Once you have it, you sure got it. Coming to terms with your negative views and trying to change them takes effort. It won't happen overnight, you may have to read a book or two, you will struggle. When I was trying to change my own views, I would notice I would occasionally feel that slimmer of light and happiness, like the bitterness was being released. But then I would quickly go back to my bitter thoughts and resume misery. If you know what I am talking about, then that light is what you need to submit to. It's almost as if your head is fighting itself, and that's the good side you need to run to. But while you run, expect there to be a chained weight attached to your feet, like in a cartoon prison. Attempt to just go towards it and accept it; let go of the cynicism or pessimism you have and try to accept this light, or release. The goal is to achieve it so you can think rationally and with reason. Speaking of that, you do understand that while in anger or in any emotion, good or bad, we probably are not rational depending on the intensity of it and can not make good decisions?
The Downfall - Bitterness Wins, And is in Control

Ever watched Breaking Bad? It's one of my favorite shows! But if you do not know anything about Walter White (the main character), then let me briefly explain him with no major spoilers: He is a chemist teacher who had his normal family, but then got cancer and had to find a way to pay for it and also provide for his family in the future. He began to manufacture meth with a former student and he started to make a decent amount of money. Eventually, the power and money got to him and he made meth purely because it satisfied his need for power. He became the best in the business with everyone knowing his nickname - Heisenberg, and would proceed to do horrible acts to other people in order to continue his business or increase in power.
I want you to picture yourself as that Walter White at the beginning, with some past mistakes or struggles. You are living your life - being a chemist teacher at this point - but with that baggage/bitterness still attached. You never quite let it go, and with the right pushes - more rejection, more people ignoring you, etc - you begin to let go and let the bitterness consume you. The wicked philosophy you flirted with is now your mindset; in fact almost permanently now. You begin to go out and say hurtful things to innocent people, treat others badly, do bad things, possibly become self-centered, possibly become a horribly disgusting person. There is no limit to how evil you may became because of that bitterness. We underestimate how much it can take us over and change us, and we may not focus on it until it becomes a huge problem. You don't want to go through that bad phase in life and then later (if you get out of it) feeling very guilty for what you did in the past to others.
That's about all I have to say, mainly because as I typed this stuff in I lost that bitter feeling and I can't really "connect" with the thought process. It basically served as a vent for it to come out, so there's another tip for some of you to do: vent somewhere. Don't bottle it up until the bottle bursts.
I hope we can get rid of our bitterness and live freely. We can't let it destroy our thoughts. What if you do get accepted by someone, and you end up hurting them throughout the relationship? Doesn't sound that fun at all, so let's avoid it. I hope I helped someone or at least just gave someone a pleasant read. I expect the negative comments of those who say I wasted my time with this or say I accomplished nothing. I did get something out of it: enjoyment, fun, and letting go of negativity. I win.
