Why happy people cheat:
Because they are selfish scumbags
Easy to argue this, too easy in fact, if it was really that simple then we just would ostracize all of them and we wouldn't have any more of them in our society. People fucking cheat. We've accepted that fact already, why is it so hard to just consider that they're people as well with thought processes and emotions as well? They're not just caricatures who we can pin with a giant BAD sign. Sure, it's easier that way, but that doesn't solve anything and will only allow them and yourself to suffer these woes in the future.
Addiction /attachments sucks.

I think that's fair. Your ex cheated on you, and you hate her, seems to make sense. However, when you eventually calm down enough to think about it, and I'm sure you will soon enough, then maybe think about WHY it happened. It's EASY to say they're a TERRIBLE and ROTTEN person to the very CORE and that's why they did wrong by you. Maybe you're right, but it wouldn't hurt to examine some of the reasons as to why, ok maybe it would, but maybe it'd prevent the next one from exploding in your face. I'm NOT saying it was or wasn't your fault. Just to go back and think about what happened to prevent it from happening again, to notice the signs and to try and talk more to stop this from happening. May you find happiness in this life Anon.

I have never cheated, nor have dated anyone who's cheated. I don't think I'd do this anytime soon, I hope I never do. However, I daresay for some who are cheating, that the wrongness of it IS what makes it sexy. That's a whole facet of why men want to bone nurses, teachers, students, etc. BECAUSE it's wrong, so please don't pretend they don't have a conscious. Most of them know exactly what they're doing, it just wasn't enough to stop them. Besides, most of the time I think it's less about horniness. If you're horny you can just wank, it's a matter of wanting emotional fulfillment and not having the ability to just talk to their partner about it.

You having experienced cheating doesn't mean you "know all about this topic". You do indeed "don't need anyone to critique your definition". You can feel free to not reply as well. But that's getting a bit reductive. I wasn't critiquing your definition, I was saying that you were straight up WRONG, homie. They do have a conscious, that's a big factor for WHY people cheat.
And a sperate point about your reply is that they're not necessarily insecure and disloyal. Loyalty is NOT absolute. People waver and trip and fall. I'm sure it's great for movies to say that "snitches get stitches", but frankly lots and lots of people cooperate with the police. Just cause your partner or someone else's partner cheated doesn't mean they are somehow completely disloyal. On top of that, don't you think that some really fucking secure people cheat too? That may be a big reason why they do, cause they think they can and should get away with it (I'm not AGREEING with their thinking, just saying that I think it happens.)

That's kind of a nonsensical reply. I don't see what my having siblings or not has to do with what I was discussing. Nor does saying I'm "waffling" somehow dismiss the argument. It just means you're not willing to engage, that's fine. Just want to say for the record that this doesn't somehow prove that I agree with your opinion.

You are 61 which makes me aware that age really doesn't mean being mature enough to respect others or even hide your prejudice against people you know nothing about.
I don't owe you any explanations but since you accuse me of so many ridiculous things i can tell you that:
1. I've been engaged once but I was cheated even if we were happy. I was diagnosed with terminal cancer and it scared both of us.
2. I AM A THERAPIST. I dont need articles to know about relationships like you. I deal with many cases on daily basis.
3. Don't put your past frustrations of unhappy relationships on me. It seems you have no other thing going on in your life other than be online. Sorry about your failed attempts of love. If you were cheated because of a terrible marriage, dont blame other possible different people who were actually happy when for a impulsive mistake, ruined their lives.

Girls are biologically unfaithful I think. They are wired to always upgrade on their boyfriend in order to get a guy who can better provide for her.

Maybe the girls that youāve come across are unfaithful but the majority of us are. Iām in a relationship and itās not perfect. No relationship is. You sound like a child. Iām 30 years old. I am way past the stage of dating someone purely because they are rich or hot. You get to a point where that doesnāt matter anymore. Iām more concerned if the guy is respectful and honest with me. Iāve dated a guy who is relatively wealthy before and he treated me very badly so no I wouldnāt trade up if someone richer came along.
Attractiveness is subjective. What one person finds attractive another person may not. For example some guys are more into blondes and some are more into redheads. I think you need to grow up a bit kid before making such silly comments.

Cheating is a shitty thing to do. This is one time I think it's permissible for men and women to hit each other.
Cheating although as terrible as it is it's not illegal where as hitting a person is.
It simply wouldn't stand up in court if they pressed charges against you.
Just do something they can't do and that's to be the better person by showing some self control.
