What do you mean with that and what does that have to do with abusive relationships? I think abuse was more common back in the days and in third world countries, where it is more normal to slap a woman if she doesn’t behave, etc. I think the difference is today we say that it isn’t okay, and divorce is more acceptable. I think the difference is just in how we view it and our improved knowledge, human rights.
