It's true many families had a really hard times, but on the other hand it doesn't mean that they feel bad about it. If we are talking about people who's family members went to GULAG, it was hard and they hate Soviet Union government, on the other hand there were a lot of other people who also had a hard times but they love Soviet Union, because they believe the government made everything possible to help them.
