@spade07, yeah i feel the same. I know who i want to be and although I'll probably grow as a person in the future, that's cuz that's me and not because my girlfriend would say "who's a good boy" while rubbing my tummy. @Spade07 I don't disagree. It's also that a woman acts very differently with a guy who is in control of himself 100% versus one who isn't. A lot of guys want to blame all of their problems on the woman but it's really a mix.

This isn't love. That is what she is saying basically. It is something two robots would do. You don't do these things because of a system. You do them because you love your partner and feel compelled to do them and you do them because it is the person you wish to be. The poster is trying to figure out how to create self discipline. That's what he is doing rather he knows it or not. But the best reward is love and after the honeymoon phase, if you're not the guy you've been acting like then you need to fake it until it becomes you through habit and the only thing that allows you to do this is you seeing the person you wanna be and you going out and doing the things that make you that person. The chief aim is being the person you wish to truly be and having the relationship you wish to truly have. And that should motivate you but sometimes you just are gonna have to do what you are not use to doing until it becomes neurologically a habit. Once it is habit and it simply maintaining all of it which is easy once it is habit. But doesn't mean the relationship will go well. You have to know what things make and break a relationship any relationship.
