The one thing that being cheated on taught me was simply; there is no amount of love, respect, lust, or want that you can have for someone else that will compensate for their complete lack of it for you.

If you think all this, why didn't you warn your slutty friend's husband that his wife cheated on him?
I understand your predicament Jean. I had to let my "friends" wife know. Wasn't easy, the feeling of betrayel in my own part, to my so called friend. Overall i think it was worth it.
They are not good people, who lie like that to the people who love them and trust them with their years/life.
I'm not speaking on his behalf but she is his friend and you're not supposed to backstab your friend like this. When you make friends and continue your friendship, you do it keeping their flaws in mind. If you didn't like what they're doing, you are free to break it (the friendship).
Even if we put the friendship aside and talk in general, he doesn't personally know her husband and there's a chance that her husband won't believe him and even confront him back for tying to break their relationship, which will not only break his friendship but give him a bad name in the society as well.
@johnsmithjs no, because I was already engaged back then and had no interest in her or women in general. The problematic came after when she thought to compromise me with her to keep my mouth shut - ie she tried to screw me over.
Yes, yes, and yes! Couldn't have said it better myself. I'm sick of hearing people give sob stories of why them cheating on their partner "just happened" and "wasn't their fault". People cheat because they choose to cheat. Period.
Exactly... I couldn't have said it better. People who justify themselves using circumstances are full of BS, cowards who can't be upfront with their partners.
Monogamy is not natural. The sooner women start accepting this, the less disappointment you will have. It's almost naturally unheard of when a girl says: Oh, I've never been cheated on ever. I'm too hot for a man to cheat on me. Lol Every girl has been cheated on. Ugly, model, celebrity, pretty... I mean if you can cheat on Beyonce, there's definitely no hope for me. Lmao
That's true, monogamy isn't natural for most organisms on earth. However, humans are jealous creatures. If it weren't for jealousy, I'm pretty sure everyone would be polyamorous. Jealousy is a strong emotion you can try to disregard, but it would be extremely difficult (for most people) to do so successfully. Hell, even cheaters feel jealousy. I had a boyfriend who wanted a polyamorous relationship, except I stay loyal to him and only him and he dates other girls. Humans are complicated and polyamory doesn't work for most couples/individuals because of jealousy.
Yep, most organisms (including amoebas) don't engage in monogamy, which also means most organisms cannot feel jealousy (or feel emotions in general, but that's not the point).
I don't believe that there are victims when it comes to someone cheating on their partner. It takes two to tango and if cheating occurs prior to the event, there is in my experience a breakdown in communication between the two in the couple. So I can't totally agree with the article completely. That is my take on it.☯️

You have a point but I had no contact with her husband plus I felt really conflicted about ratting her out, even if what she did wasn't right.

So i try to remember that when i spoil their fun.

Admit it, you just thought you may be able to tap that ass also. The problem is you are in the friend zone and women do not have sex with friends.

Do you know what sarcasm is?
@johnsmithjs I know what it is, but since the writing tone was apparently serious, I answered seriously.

know what you're doing because it's easier to get caught these days.
Well said @jean-marie_celine this sums it up in a nutshell.
The victim is always the one who is cheated on, not the cheater.
Not when the vic gets a knife and stabs the shit out of the cheater, making the cheater a victim.
@yofuknutz ok? Sure. If you want to add an extreme case into my answer, knock yourself out. Victim, but for a completely different reason.
And there are more cases of people getting knocked out because of adultery/Cheating, fraud investigations etc. It's not extreme, things are happening.
I agree with everything you put here, thanks for sharing with us...
Thank you for reading!

monogamy vs polyamory is preference... neither is more natural that the other it just depends on the person it’s affecting..

Good read, informative although I don't completely agree with the view.☯️
Thank you for reading and your kind words!
What's the part you don't agree with, if I can ask?

I understand, thank you for sharing your point of view!
You did a very good job preparing this mytake and everything in it is so true, every word!
1000% agree. Finally, a My Take written by someone with a soul.
Agreed
True.
Nobody is ever a victim, as you can always decide.
Remember the "bad boys" you like, they are cheaters. So if you jump into bed with the "bad boy" you will get hurt. Selfishness is strong in them.
You're take needs a bit to account for nameless one night stand affairs. As it is it's like it doesn't count using prostitutes as cheating.
It's true, my ex cheated on me last year and it still hurts.
I'm sorry about that, I hope you are doing at least a bit better now.
True. That's why cheaters you should get rid of cheaters, they are waste of time.
Ok, BUT, if you are dating a fuck boy or if a guy is dating a whore, it shouldn't come as a big surprise when they cheat.
Women can mostly prevent being cheated on by picking a man of good basic character and by treating him well.
Oh thank god I thought this was going to be a bunch of victim blaming
Exactly, that's why I don't do relationships, I don't wanna cheat.
Agree. There is not justification for cheating.
