@Hispanic-Cool-Guy Even outside of a slave context. "Leviticus 27 - if someone, a man or a woman, makes a special vow and they want to dedicate a person to the LORD then they pay a dedication in shekels. And here is where it seems like women are worth less. A woman, in her prime, between the age of 20 and 60 is only valued at 30 shekels. While a man of the same age is valued at 50 shekels."
There's scriptures that talk about how a good woman is precious to her man and great to have. But don't go trying to push the idea that the bible says women are worth more than men cause it's not in there.
God doesn't really look at humans they we look at each other tho. So from God's POV.. he doesn't need/use money. That is a human way of dealing with stuff.
@hahahmm: That scripture is talking about spiritual consecration and devotion or something to that effect in the ancient world in Israel so men valuation in such terms where higher because men hold official positions of authority from a spiritual context.
God vaules men and women exactly the same from a human being standpoint as God isn't partial as the Bible teaches several times over.
Now, regarding romantic relationships women are the blessing from God, not men to women therefore from a romantic relationship standpoint men gain favor from God having a wife, a wife gains no favor or blessing from having a husband, therefore she's the prize.
The Bible teaches nothing about men or husbands benefiting the woman, it's the woman who brings the blessing to the man.
Proverbs 18:22 He who finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor from the LORD.
I clearly said, outside of the slave context to show some numbers exist outside of that. Dude.. you are ignoring the scripture that says if a man doesn't work he shouldn't eat: work required. But widows & orphans should be provided for by the church. Obviously they are not the same. Back then if a woman's husband died, then one of his brothers or another relative would marry her so she could be provided for. She wasn't providing for herself the same that he could provide. You're also ignoring how women were told to look to their husband if they had any questions on scripture. The man was NOT told to look to her. Man was clearly established as the head of the household at multiple points in scripture. Next.
I never said men wasn't the head of the household. Quit trying to twist my words and going off topic.
Back then thousands of years ago is totally different way of life compared to now the modern-day world so of course women needed their brothers, father or relatives to try to survive and for protection if they didn't have a husband to rely on, but that doesn't mean the woman didn't work or just sat her butt at home and leech of the family. 🙄
Women are the prize before age 30. After that men are the prize from that point forward. That's just how nature has made it. Nothing we can do to change it.
What if the woman is under 30 and the man is over 30? Then they are both the prize; correct? (But she probably doesn't realize that. Because most women are incredibly narcissistic.)
@Jamie05rhs Correct. Women generally don't recognize the fact that they will no longer be the prize after they age beyond 30 until they actually experience it. I don't think it is narcissism so much as it is a combination of entitlement and naiveté.
Reading some of the female responses here I am reminded of the simple fact that most modern women see their own personal value in very different terms than men see their value.

Yes, definitely! I would say that both genders need to treat the other like prizes.
The answer is no. According to the Bible women (assuming she's a good one) are the prize not men.
According to the bible women were property...
@suzzieQ: That's simply not true. Slaves were considered property not women.

People using religion to define relationships is toxic regardless.

True.
You tell me 😉
The prize? Is that yet another ridiculous way how incels imagine relationships work?
Men are the prize. A woman is only as valuable as the man she is able to lock down.
In online dating, they are. That's why only a small percentage of them actually get anything out of it.
At 69 and boyishly handsome, I'd be the prize in most relationships.
Yes, totally. Arm candy to the rescue
YES. WTF. Is this even a serious question?
Ha.. A guy asked it elsewhere on GAG so I turned it into a MyTake
And what exactly did you hope to achieve?
This is to educate guys who don't know any better.
It will not have that effect.
I champion your effort though.
I'm always the prize.
You're not even the consolation. Smiley face.
@eightyeighthgender We are what we make ourselves. I deem myself the prize and do not accept being treated as less.
Neither should you.
Absolutely phukin not🤣🤦🏾♀️
In a relationship both should be the prize.
They can be, yes.
