Hey, remember me? I'm the quiet chick you completely ignored in order to go after the hot, popular girl. You then complain that ALL girls are shallow and mean. That ALL girls are after money. That ALL girls only like a guy for his looks. Well, if you're only going after a specific type of girl over and over, I can see why you think that.

I'm the girl who takes care of herself, but I know I'll never look like Megan Fox. It's okay, I don't expect the guys I date to look like Brad Pitt. I don't feel some kind of entitlement to that. Thank you, this is what I meant. I'm not talking about all guys. I put "nice guys" in quotations for a reason. I didn't mean nice girl like me specifically. I've known girls who directly told guys in their league they liked them, the guy turned them down, the guy then chases after a girl out of his league, the girls turns him down, then the guy complains that ALL girls are shallow and mean.

There are genuine nice guys, and there's the fake nice guy. The genuine nice guy is rare as fuck, and i dare claim it's a dying breed.
The fake nice guy (which you described here) is just nice by claims. He constantly needs to convince himself he's nice and that he's the best one ever for the girls. The truth is he's just an ass.

So protip; the more often he needs to make it clear he's a nice guy, the less likely it is that he is a nice guy. A genuine nice guy doesn't need that self validation (he knows what he is), and the good guys have enough confidence in themselves to not need it either.
so go for those not needing to claim it. You'll likely either get a nice guy or a good guy. Saying "likely" because you can still have bad luck.

Around here the genuine nice guy is quite common. Here in small towns were quite common I alone know a good 3-6 of em not including myself. It's just a matter of knowing were to look and we're not exactly in plain sight either. Take it from the word of a genuine nice guy we're not dead yet and we don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon.

Coming from a previous nice guy i know exactly where the world is headed. So i decided to do the whole world a favor and follow a quite different code. The golden rule, both ways. Treating people the way they ask to be treated.

I am happily married to a "Plain Jane" type myself. To me, Looks and character are two completely different things. Disregarding the looks department, Focusing on the person's character you are building the relationship is far more important than superficial beauty, as that is what you are going to have to end up dealing with. In time, Looks will fade, and all a person will be left with in their later years is what is on the inside. That is what will decide if you made a good investment of time into a person or not.

I tried that. And it sucked. I tried talking to him 3 times and he ignored me. 4th time, I said I liked him and only then did he reply. Day after, he started toying with my emotions. Luckily, I got over him in 3 days full recovery. He's a nerdy guy but became corrupted by having popular girl friends. Let's all agree no one's personality and attitudes are every fully set and can change based on circumstance?

While I agree that there are a lot of fake nice guys out there, if you really want to be noticed, you'll get yourself out there! What guy is gonna notice you if you're cooped up in your shell? It's why quiet girls such as yourself get ignored. I used to be one. But I took chances, gained confidence, expanded my social circle and I'm a lot better off now. You should try it.

I actually like the more plain-ish people, I've date both the plain Jane and the hot girl. And for me I find a good personality and a good heart are more important. I mean looks see important but they are secondary when it comes to personality and heart. I would never ignore a women though just because she isn't quite as good looking as someone else.
