Gilrfriends friend is ratchet what do I Do?

My girlfriends best friend is reckless a poor decision maker and polar opposite of my gf. I've suggested to my gf that we all hang out but her friend denied two opportunities to hang out with us.. I assume this is the 3rd wheel problem but how can I fix this. I don't really know her friend except from what I've heard from my gf and very little of what I've seen. Most of it being negative and just a bad influence. I explained to my gf that it's hard to be comfortable with her hanging out with her friend but my gf says she's "getting Better"... I don't understand how she expects me to just be okay with it when they go out.

Well, you're her bf, not her dad. Don't try to dictate her friendships, and certainly don't think that you should chaperone their time together. That will only bring bad shit upon you. If her friend is that bad, she will figure it out on her own. It's also possible that your girlfriend only talks about this friend when she is upset with her, so you only hear the negative stuff.

Stay out of it. Chicks before dicks is a real thing.

Well I don't try and dictate who her friend should be. I just tell her I'm not comfortable with her hanging out with her friend because I've heard negative things about her. I'm concerned for her safety mainly. My gf gives into pressure sometimes and her friend is very stupid sometimes. Imagine if you had a boyfriend who's best friend got caught with pounds of weed in his car.. and has gotten locked up or something... My gf's friend has gotten raped before at a party and has been known for poor decision making. I'm not trying to chaperone I legit want to hang out with all of them and be at ease and know that this girl is not as stupid as she seems (Hopefully)

It's not your business. I'm unsure what her friend being raped at a party has to do with her decision making. You sound like overly attached bf.

Don't hang out with them at the same time. If you love your girlfriend you need to realize she has her best friend for a reason. Appreciate that. And just focus on how great your bae is. Also try and make your gfs friend the third wheel so she won't wanna hang out as much

That's not the point... the point is I want to have some sort of closure that says she's safe with this person... It's been a year and I still don't really know who her best friend is. I want all of us to hang out so I can get to know who she REALLY is.. Her friend in my eyes is a bad influence.

She obviously hasn't had a bad influence on your girlfriend. Chances are they were friends before you were her boyfriend. Id stay out of it if I were you. Or you might lose her. If she starts changing then talkn but right now zip. Otherwise talk to her friend alone. I think you're paranoid though.

they've been friends since the 8th grade. My gf has told me stories about her.. really bad stories. She's dragged my gf through hell apparently but they're still friend... How can I be comfortable with that knowing my gf is at risk to her idiotic behavior? she is a bad influence.
