In your opinions, What makes a guy intimidating when you're around him?

What sort of intimidation? That can take a great many forms.

Are you attempting to be intimidating? Are you trying to not be intimidating?

Some things that can make a guy intimidating:
1) High probability of violence, especially if it is unpredictable.
2) Confrontational stance and behavior, especially when combined with large physical size
3) For a different sort of intimidation, there is the high probability of intentional and focused violence, which can be based on reputation.

I've been in a situation where I did nothing wrong but for some reasons people found me intimidating including my professors, i'm a big guy and highly confidence in myself and not giving a shit what others say about me

You can try smiling more. That's an easy way to reduce tension.
