What makes a guy look intimidating?

I have this problem too. My face is scarred, I'm physically big and powerfully built. My daughter tells me the boys at church are terrified of me.
It seems to help if I remember to keep my eyes open wide and smile a lot ( when I'm tired I tend to squint and it looks like I want to kill and eat you).
I really am a big loveable fuzzball, just don't always look it.

Looking angry, is one thing - not smiling/frowning too often. Certain clothes can enhance the effect as well.. If you stand with crossed arms, or don't talk much while staring at people.. that can also be considered intimidating.

Clothes, body language, the way they talk may be aggressive, their angry faces or when they rarely smile. When a guy is big and have big muscles i feel kinda intimidated too. And also if i know bad stuff they've done in the past, i might feel insecure around them.

Sometimes if he is bulky or have lots of muscles. If he has scars on his body or face. Also, if he spends a lot of time by himself and lack any people skills.

Strong facial features or a stern look like a scowl or frown you may not you're doing, a simple smile or smirk can fix that

Permanent scowl on your face doesn't help also being the biggest guy in the room is another problem I have but I solve it be being goofy and funny like singing out loud or telling jokes it helps
