Why are tall girls complaining about short girls "taking all the guys"?

I just noticed that some of the taller girls are beginning to complain that us shorter girls are "stealing" the tall guys.

I'm 4"11 and my boyfriend is 6"7 .

And there was actually a girl when we were at wall*Mart who gave me some really dirty looks, she was tall, and literally as I walked by her to get out of the aisle she mumbled "their" and that was weird...

But why are they blaming short girls for dating tall guys? That's like blaming the tall guys for liking short girls, and why do they instantly blame us, when in reality, it's probably their attitude and mean personality that's putting guys off?

I'm 5'9 and I personally don't see it as you're stealing them from us, it's just sort of annoying because if we're tall then obviously we want someone tall too so when girls are short and they get the taller one's it's just frustrating. It's more annoying that the guys are the ones who like short girls. I don't see a problem with the girls though. It's not your fault if you're short, you have almost no choice but to date someone taller than you. It's just that we wish guys who were like 5'10 liked you so the ones who were 6'7 could like us ahah. I mean if I'm 5'9 and a guy who's 5'10 likes me, I can never wear heels cuz I'll be taller and it's sooooo irritating. I personally don't see it as the girls fault, it makes me mad at the guys for wanting a short girl. Also, no offense, but that tall girl that was looking at you guys weird makes sense. 4'11 and 6'7 looks weird regardless of how tall the other girl is. It kinda looks like a dad is taking out his 5 year old daughter..

Yah I know it looks weird, and I don't mind weird looks, I think they are funny actually, so I tale him with me on almost all my errands, but it's the mean looks that get me

It's the preconception that guys refuse to date anyone taller than them, which is pretty accurate. Just think what proportion of men are tall enough and want to date a tall girl, then the inverse of that would be how many times harder it is to find a boyfriend. And frustration, and it's satisfying trying to blame someone. I'm just surprised that you're surprised by it.

Actually he's right. Women are competitive with each other. Not only because of height. Weight, social economic position, race, hair, clothes and many other things. You'll hear things like "why do men just fall for girls that have this? or dress like that? behave like this? or have the hair/face/body like that?

Sounds like they give you the look I give all couples. The look of jealousy.
I understand it's hard for tall girls to meet tall guys.
It's hard for me to find an introvert like myself.
So I can relate.
The thing is, short girls don't have a problem with tall guys, but tall girls have a problem with short guys. If they started dating shorter men, they'd have no problem at all.
