How to stop feeling self conscious around my boyfriend?

Whenever I'm with my boyfriend I feel the need to constantly look in the mirror and make sure my makeup is perfect or make sure I don't have anything on my face like an eyelash or something. It drives me crazy when I wish I could just be comfortable around him. How do I just calm down and be comfortable? Also, he's done sexual stuff with a lot of girls before so it makes me insecure about how I look. ; advice? I know everything isn't all about looks but I still want to feel sexy and confident around him.

I was the same exact way. I know your pain! In general, the way I look has always been a concern of mine and i hate it! The guy I was with was soooo attractive and had a lot of girls in the past. I think that made it worse for me. I felt like I couldnt measure up to the last girl he was with who was sooo beautiful. I think that you need to be happy with yourself first before getting in a relationship... that and finding someone who makes you comfortable. If he doesn't make you feel sexy, then maybe you should tell him first before doing anything. If he still doesn't, then maybe you should move on to someone else.

Yeah it sucks :/ He defenitely makes me feel sexy he tells me like 10 times a day that im beautiful, gorgeous, sexy etc. and it's not that I dont think I am I just have a hard time still feeling that way when he's looking at me like maybe he's comparing me to those other girls in his head! even though i know he's not. lol i drive myself crazy

Yeah its definitely a self conscious thing. Like you're overthinking how you look to him. Do you have anxiety? I do and I think that contributed to my insecurities as well. I was always overthinking my every move around him, and how I appeared to him.

If you don't feel comfortable with him, he's not the one for you. Find a man who makes you feel comfortable... this guy clearly doesn't...

He's perfect I feel like I can be myself personality wise, looks wise is different.

It's not even just him I've always had this problem that's why I said im a self conscious person in general. I just decided to say my boyfriend in this question. Without even knowing anything about my relationship, me, or my boyfriend you decided to say he's not the one for me based off of the fact that I'm naturally not totally confident about how I look and it shows when I'm around him. Now does that make any sense?
