Why men hide there feelings to a girl that they like? (Page 2)

It's not just fear of rejection, but fear of broadcast. For example:
Wife Mary in bed with husband Bob: "Honey, it's ok if you can't get it up tonight. What's wrong?"
Bob: "My new boss, John, at Acme Corp is a douche. He really pisses me off and stresses me out."
Bob and Mary are good friends and socialize with Bob's longtime previous Jim and his wife Sue. Jim and Sue met at Acme, but he moved on. At the Acme holiday party at some hotel, Bob and Jim are off watching the big game leaving Sue and Mary to chat. Soon, Mary lets out to Sue that Bob misses Jim and wishes he never left because Bob thinks Dave is a douche. After the new year, at Acme, Sue gossips with Laura and mentions Bob's not liking Dave. Laura gossips with Andrea, Andrea gossips with Victoria at her desk, she is Dave's adminstrative assistant. Dave overhears. Time for a layoff and Dave has to let go someone from his group. Easy choice: Bob.

And that's why we keep our feelings to ourselves.
