This all depend on how you feel so before you file for a divorce think about it seriously. As for the alimony it all depends on what the marriage term were or if there are any loop holes. Wow. My wife was all good when we met. She had a job and a decent income. She lost her job and has made piss poor efforts to get another. She is now into the Plexus thing and I think she is just wating her time. She has bounced from idea to idea and it has gone nowhere. She has no buyers after a year and a half. I tell her maybe she should try and get a job that pays and I am suddenly an insensitive jerk. I can't get around this without getting stink eye and then silent treatment. weelll my dumbass got married when i was 18 and when i was 20 it ended. i was actually the one to leave and get a lawyer. keep in mind there are different laws in each state if your here in the U. S lol. BUT basically when i went to file for the separation there were tons of things that went into play. like what he made and what i made for a salary. what we bought together as a married couple. our living situation. all that. basically because we werent married very long and he didn't make much money there was no way unless i fought extremely hard that i would have gotten any alimony. BUT what sucked is that 1. we had to be separated a year to file anything and 2. i had a trust fund and i used a bit for a down payment on his car and other things so i was at a huge loss. we ended up on an agreement and never spoke again. lol
