My boyfriend of over 6 years drained my bank account!!! And he acts like its no big deal! What do I do?

Question

First of all let me start by stating that we have 3 little boys i am 28yo. My boyfriend isn't working right now because he claims he can't work until spring time bc of his seasonal job, ok so I am the only one that does anything I work take care of all household responsibilities pay bills buy food. I have a car he doesn't and he hasn't had a license 5 out of 6 years. I used my whole tax return to bail him out of jail bc he guilt tripped me and obviously I did it bc I don't want my boys without their father. I needed his help I work nights and had no childcare. I know what this seems like I'm not a idiot I know he's a jerk but it's hard when we have been together for so long with kids in the mix. I do everything for him he doesn't appreciate it or me. I feel like I'm in a rut. He went behind my back took my bank card and withdrew all my money. He lied about it until I called the bank. Me and my kids have nothing now I don't get paid until 8 more days. He's acting like it's not a big deal and I did something wrong??? Are you freaking kidding me??? I'm at a loss! What do I do?

You don't want to hear this but it needs to be said, you should have known and stopped at the first child.

What did he do with the money? I know that some women will let a guy screw them over and over to the complete destruction of the self just because the sex is good. It may be no good to tell you to leave him, you already have excuses to let him back in your life.

He knows how to play you and has a hook into further destroying your life for the next 18 years. You knew that you should have left him in jail and it is sad that you cannot have a bank card in your own home without him taking everything for you and the boys.

Get rid of him or wait it out, it looks like he will be going to jail soon.

Trust me it would be better for your kids to grow up without a dad then one like that. They'll think that's an acceptable way to act. Taking your money and committing crimes to end up in jail. I know he's been part of your life for so long but you need to think about the kids. He's a bad influence on them.

Can you try contacting a women's crisis center? They may be able to give advice on how to get him out of you life safely and legally or at least point you to someone can.

Do you have family that you can stay with... I would bale on his ass and teach him a lesson.

Tell him to pay the bills if he wants to be a bum. Your not doing him or the kids any favours by letting him gouge you.

The kids can always visit if he gets his act together.
