Did I take joking with my girlfriend a bit too far? How can I maker her talk to me again?

So i'm a car guy and love cars. There was a autoshow type of event in my city and it finished yesturday. Through out the week i kept joking around with my girl that cars are more important than her (again this is not true, i was saying it jokingly). So i was going to some mini events and taking pics of some nice car and went to the main show. Me and my girlfriend were walking and i saw 5 lambo's across the street and i let go of her hand to take a pic and ran across the street lol. Another thing i did (again 100% as a joke) was i said "look you beautiful you look", she said "aww thank you", then i said "no, not you... the car". I told her i would be back, well she decided to walk away from me. When we got back to my house she was yelling at me cause i guess it got to her. I made a joke and told her "at least cars don't talk back to me", she got pissed and actually left :(

The worst part was this morning i waiting for her to pick me up cause we always drive each other to school. She was 10 min late, so i just texted her "hurry up you turtle". Then she texted me saying "you can drive yourself today since your love for cars is more important for me, i don't a give a shit if you're late"

I know i was joking about this all week and i might have pushed her buttons but i'm sure she knows i love her more than cars lol. I feel sad that she's not talkting to me cause i known her for more than a year and i never seen her this mad. What can i do? again this was all a joke.

Girls like her will walk all over you even if she know's your joking. She's got you wrapped around her finger. I think it's fair game now that she didn't pick you up. If she did the same to you she wouldn't give a fuck. by the way if you try doing Something nice for her she will learn that all she has to do is get upset over a joke and your jumping through hoops to fix it. I was in your position once and women like this are manipulative and make there feelings more important than yours. Just because u love her doesn't mean you should put up with immaturity.

I believe it was the '' You look beautiful thing'' that set her over the edge. She likely got all prettied up for you, and you saying that made he feel like she didn't look good, like you don't appreciate her, and that the cars meant more to you.

awh this made me chuckle a bit actually, she's obviously a girl who takes things to heart and she's a girl who likes romance and attention.
I would plan a nice relaxing date for her, but remember (MAKE HER THE CENTRE OF ATTENTION) Make her feel special! Be a man, take control. Don't say things that might annoy her and upset her, I would be a little annoyed.

haha, if i tell her to dress nice and i will pick her up on a certain day to go to a nice restaurant... that would make her feel better right? or at least talk to me? and buy her some roses or flowers?
