It's nice that he loves you, but it's the worse reason EVER to make a child. These guys often realise too late that their immaturity makes them bad father material and they just leave you with the child. They don't want a child, they want to keep you. The child is a tool, a way to try to keep you, but it doesn't work.

If he ever decides that he wants a kid because he WANTS a kid, then maybe you can start thinking about having a child. Having a child needs preparation. Having a child is like getting married to someone you just cannot divorce from EVER. It's not like a tattoo that you can get removed. It's permanent, permanently. Be SURE you know what you are getting into. Don't bring another loveless child into this world please...

Getting her pregnant won't make her love you and it certainly won't let her stay. You'll only create a family and bring a child in this world for the wrong reason.
