Why do Mexicans lie a lot?

Okay I date a Mexican and we just left Mexico from visiting his family. Not the whole Mexican culture lie entirely some has learn to trust people. I never heard a girl lie but a guy got it going on with lying they got it down packed. When we was in Mexico visiting his family I would be honest and they would correct it with a lie I would laugh. my boyfriend would lie to nearly everybody but I never failed for defensive mechanism. He felt more of a man when he lied because he wanted to avoid trouble. With me at first he would constantly lie and I will not fall for it or take guilt trips. He loved easy females but he told me at the beginning we was not gonna date and he really couldn't stick to none of his stories because the more I didn't fall for lies as a woman he liked me more. I had to literally jump on his case everyday about lying then finally he agreed to go to counseling. He say he didn't trust nobody other than family at first. But I'm proud to see many Mexicans are coming out of their old culture

I dated a Mexican. He seemed very nice. He was not a liar. He was very nice. The only problem is that he DID lie, initially. He pretended to be somebody he wasn’t. He was very generous and helpful. He said he wanted to have a serious relationship. But he was hardly ever serious. Always making me laugh. That was cool. But then when I needed him to be serious, since I’m disabled and have many health issues. HE WAS NOT. That is serious. He was not ever serious. SO in essence, he lied to me. He is indeed a liar. BUT I am not generalizing. Or am I? I dunno but I will NEVER date another Mexican guy again. I needed him. He just kept being not serious. He would come over after a spat we had had, then be passionate and say Pleas in imhis cute broken English. Please Susan, NO NO I’m not letting you go. Lol. Loved it but it wasn’t Real. He is an old man 59 yes old. That is what he called himself. Frankly, he was tall dark and handsome. I did not see “old”. But anyways, now I’m left feeling broken hearted. I wish he would have been more empathetic and serious. It was a bunch of bullsh$t! Never again. It’s whit boys from now on.

Not all Mexicans lie; the ones who do is because they feel insecure of themselves and don't want to share it with others. It's part of the macho culture.

And as @ixi10 don't try to generalize, just because the ones you've met lie a lot, it doesn't mean all Mexicans lie.

I didn't say all Mexican lie I said most of the guys still lie a lot it's called macho culture smh if you fall for any lie and sweet thing you can't tell when someone is lying so that means you believe anything coming from a guy regardless of race

Lying isn't mexican culture or machismo its human behavior. If your boyfriend is lying all the time is because He is. jerk not because he is mexican or its the mexican culture. Seriously stop generalizing all of mexican men. So sick and tire of American women generalizing all mexican guys over one experience. Yet its funny because i dont see mexican guys talking bad about American girls. This is why i rather date mexicans or other latinas. I swear American women have closed minded mentality. nearly most Mexican guys do tell lies they can look at you in your face straight without a smile and lie because they were taught to tell white lies
