Yeah this isn't cool, but you would have to be delusional to not see this coming. If a girl starts paying a lot of attention to her health and looks there's a good chance she wants to see a similar commitment from her boyfriend. In any case he's not a bad looking dude, he had no excuse to take those 7 months to hit the gym and buy some clothes that actually fit him (and maybe learn to adjust a a tie).
