I'm sure there are exception but this generally holds true for most women/men expectations for each other.

"Social losers" are guys who are a total turn off when dating.
3. If 1) or 2) are lacking then you must be better looking (nice face~Genetic) than her 3 - Some girls are willing to trade this off for looks, I'm not. In casual dating, look who-I've-got-arm-candy style, women will take these guys. But in a real relationship, they're most likely getting dumped.
4. Must have nice car, house, and any other material possesion you can fathom to show your wealth 4 - ONLY if you're looking for a gold digger. Normal women will be attracted to this because it shows you're capable, but won't require it to date you. If it's required that that means she doesn't care about building a life with you, she wants to use you based on what you can provide as soon as possible and a lot of.
5. Must dress nice and have nice clothes. 5 - This is not a female standard. It's male as well. And when guys say they don't care, they're so full of shit. Reality and plain observation of it confirms this. So this is a non-point.
6. Must be certain height and race (genetic). Height yes, but that falls in the looks department and is calculated in there. Race depends on the girl, both men and women can have, or not have racial preferences, so this is not a female criteria at all. Your Nmb. 6 is also a non-point.
Also you forgot: Character. Can I trust this man with my life? Is he a quality person who won't betray me, hurt me, fail me? (in the male list this is shown by points of: be loyal and be nice) For us, it's... Is he honorable? Men and women are as shallow as each other overall but generally in different ways. It's as simple as that. Your average man's expectation of women list is okay but you certainly exaggerated the average woman's expectation of men and I think you know that. The only one I agree with on that list is #6, women do think about a man's height and race (race is usually due to family pressure I would say which men also feel). At the same time, I hear many men saying they prefer women shorter than them too, so it kinda evens out in a lot of cases except when the short girls expect very tall men.
Thing is, sometimes people expect something they don't deliver BUT they may make up for it in another form. My cousin married a rich man, but she is also very, very beautiful and younger compared to him and so both of them are extremely happy. Would I go for that? No. But a bitter man may look at her as a gold digger and a bitter woman might look at her as a trophy wife to him. I don't see the point of being a bitter outsider, if the couple is happy then I am happy for them.
Women are very judge and believe it or not I've been in so many situations where i was judged to much and never given a chance then I (or men) turn shallow and cold after seeing the same thing happen multiple times in a row no matter how much they change @loofah
Its not necessarily what women say that makes them shallow, but rather what they dont say.

Her: "I do like you, just as a friend"- basically meaning you aren't outgoing enough, or confident enough, you aren't funny enough, you aren't smart enough, you aren't handsome enough. She is basically saying you aren't good enough for her but without actually saying that.

Girl: "Your such a nice guy but..." You lack some of the aforementioned qualities and she is not attracted to you.
I could go on but as you can see from these two exhibits without saying anything mean they basically tell you that you suck and aren't good enough. When guys shut down a girl more often then not its more straightforward, and the girl can at least get an idea of why she is getting shutdown, for us guys we never know why we are getting shutdown, we just know that we aren't good enough and so that sends our minds on a journey to try and discover why we aren't good enough. Is it shallow things that make us not good enough? Probably, although maybe not, but since girls never tell us we assume it is. Therefore women are more shallow, they dont know why, or dont tell why, they are shutting guys down and so to us guys its always for a shallow reason.

Also just a note I'm a somewhat attractive white man with a good job, good education, good hope for the future, taller then average but not freakishly tall and I dress pretty nicely but I dont get as much interest from girls as you would think. Part of it is because women usually wait for a guy to approach them and if I'm feeling to melancholic to approach (which is often the case since thats my personality) I dont get much action. Most of dating for guys isn't about being all these great things, its about just asking. Even if you completely suck in every way, if you ask enough girls 1 is bound to say yes just because she didn't have to ask anyone herself and wants a meal, or some attention. And this just adds to the shallowness if you notice, many girls can't see past the guys that ask them out and see potentially better guys that have not yet approached them.
Have you ever thought exhibit A could just be 'I'm not attracted to you' and that's it? Sometimes you have all those qualities but we just don't feel that spark, that click or that attraction. It doesn't mean the guy is lacking anything or we're trying to fit them into our supposed 'checklist'. It just means, we don't feel the attraction that you do, sorry.

Your views on women and relationships are very skewed. It's clear from the way you worded your question that you're very bitter. I feel sorry for you.
By those standards, women hands down. Those are ridiculous criteria though and I don't know any decent women who hold guys to that. And all the guys I know also want someone who's super bubbly, outgoing, pretty provocative, and they typically have very high standards in the looks department.
First of all I disagree with the fact that you are trying to make generalizations about either gender. And secondly, I think that your requirements for both genders to have a relationship are very one-sided. Your male's requirements are primarily personality requirements, but the women's requirements are primarily material and physical. This is very biased and I think it is quite untrue. Your profile says you are male so I don't know why you think you know women's requirements for a relationship.
Men and women can both be equally shallow. And you are clearly biased, thinking that women are more shallow based on what you think our relationship criteria is. Please be a little more mature, what you have written down is not what most women look for.
Men. It's in their DNA. It's scientifically proven that guys are more visual than girls, so they base more upon looks. I've heard tons of girls say that while the guy isn't good looking, he's got a great personality. Also, girls don't need the guy to make more than them. When thinking of a long term relationship, it's simply necessary that as a couple they combined make enough to live off of. So a girl doctor probably wouldn't care if she married a teacher, cause financially they'd be fine. But if the girl doesn't want to work, then she'd be relying on the guy for income. It's all about preference. Social status, she just wants a social life. So if she has one and her guy is more of a book worm, as long as he's into her, she'd be fine. But if she doesn't have a booming social life and she wants one, that's when she relies on the guy. So most of your shallow girl qualifications are circumstantial, while guys shallowness is more of a fact.
Lol i think certain race and height (no. 6 for women) should be in two different requirements, not really sure why it is in the same requirement. Also certain race i am sure that would apply to some men too. Also women do not want a man who is better looking than her! if anything women prefer a man not as nice as her so it is more likely he would worship her, that is for those with a worship complex which isn't every woman of course. Lmao and trust me men are very flexible on the dont be fat, Im proof of that XD
On average I would say girls are more shallow. Even good woman a large number of them seriously care about having a man who is taller than them. They have their "list" of all the things her guy must have and some guys should be so lucky if they meet just half that list. Maybe she gives a little. But in general, guys who have "lists" are much much smaller.
I would say guys care about looks a bit more than girls in regards to how you look naked. But girls care more about looks when your clothes are on.

It's hard to say, since if you look at both extremes in both genders, they both are shallow.
I voted for men. I have seen more guys go after the hot girl, and dump their nice girlfriend for someone "hotter" before. Even when I asked my male friends to quickly answer, they said men.
The important thing to know is not everyone is like this. There might be a man or woman that likes the other person for their good characteristics, not just how physically attractive they are. Like, none of those "requirements" for women hold true for me. I've dated guys with none of that; different race, shorter than me, no job, no car, etc.

Equal. Women have longer "lists" generally because they're more descriptive. For a guy, a bunch of stuff falls into "not attractive enough/my type to commit to" but he only says "I'm not attracted."
Also, a bunch of stuff on women's list is encouraged by society to make up for a lack of sexual and mental attraction, not be added on top of it. Guys controlled the money for centuries, largely as a way to trap young women into marrying older men she wasn't sexually interested in as her only option.
Think of that when you read guys saying that girls ought to give guys a chance, no matter how she feels towards him naturally:

I'm sorry for all the girls who are reading this. I'm a girl myself and what I read made girls seem really shallow and it's disgusting. I'm not like that but it doesn't surprise me that others would be. I think from the options you've shown men sound a lot more reasonable. I mean being loyal and loving is that too much to ask? No not to me. We can be bitchy at times but men can be assholes. I mean I have nothing against fat people but I have problems with the way I look and I'm anorexic so I don't see a problem with a guy wanting to be with a girl who is concerned about her health. As far as overall looks go it depends on the guy so I don't take offense to that one. Even though it's a little shallow. But both guys and girls are like that.
