I feel like absolutely every girl has the potential to be wife material but at the same time, for me at least, no one is. Like Marriage is just an idea. It hasn't been in existence since the dawn of time. I guess it could've been depending on your religious beliefs but simply based on the huge cultural differences there are in how marriage is approached I'm going to assume it's not inherent. Monogamy maybe but not marriage. Marriage is simply a governing body's recognition of a long term relationship. So when people ask me "what's marriage material?" I hear "what things do you look for that minimize your fear of government imposed punishment due to divorce?". Which breaks down into three more questions: Who am I least likely going to want a divorce from?; What qualities would be helpful to ensure that if a divorce were necessary it wouldn't be too detrimental?; and What qualities would be most helpful in cultivating a relationship that's more likely to grow overtime rather than stagnate or dwindle? My answers to those questions change but a few things are constant. But to me the questions are more important than the answers. If it's not obvious I've never been a fan of the whole love conquers all happily ever after like things. Not because I'm antimarriage or bitter I just think honesty and preparation is a better plan of action than hope alone. But if I have to give a list of traits right now I'd have to say flexible, cooperative, curious, assertive, empathetic, more scientific than spiritual, self-loving, a little argumentative, and a positive outlook on sexuality and parenting. And I'd be lying if I said I didn't care about looks but I don't really care about what's conventionally considered beautiful.

At least averagely attractive, preferably blonde and petite with cute legs and feet, holds very traditional values or at least wants to be a mother and wife, is sincere, genuine, and devoted to her husband and family, and has an overall nurturing personality that really acts as the pillar of emotional support in the family.

I mean, if you expect your wife to do all the nuturing and be "THE pillar of emotional support" it sounds like you plan to leave all the child-raising duties to her and just expect her to take care of not just the kids but you, too. A woman need a husband who will emotionally support her and help with not just taking care of the kids physically but guiding them in life and helping them emotionally.

attractive enough to the dude. sweet, nurturing, cares about him and considers his words. good personality. honest and willing to discuss. likes children or if not, at least gives good attention to the relationship. willing to compromise, at least somewhat adventurous. knows relationships take sacrifice and work. idunno. i just think of a person who is willing to treat her partner as an equal and go through life together and overcome any obstacle together.

I don't consider marriage again an option. Therefore, I don't give women much thought as marriage material. However, if I DID idealize marriage (I can't believe I used that word 3 Times in a paragraph... meh!) she'd be the female version of ME; intelligent, hot, a tiger in bed, a team player partner, best friend, creative and totally into what I'm into. I don't have time in my life to LOOK for that.

doesn't play games or act coy. if she likes me she will even make jokes that my parents need to meet their future daughter in law.

wasn't a slut, and isn't deciding now to settle down after 15 partners.

not only wants me to be hot but cares about her appearance and being hot for me.

is smart and rational. if she disagrees with me on something she is willing to explain why in rational reasoning.

I would never in a million years get married myself but I can tell you what an ideal partner for me would be: attractive, upbeat, smart, loyal, low maintenance, has some similar interests and doesn't hold a grudge.
