Boyfriend changed his facebook relationship status to "Single"?

I fully understand the facebook relationship status means nothing. I never clicked into my boyfriend's profile except the beginning and just now I was searching something on facebook and his profile popped up accidentally so I looked into it. Then I found out his relationship status was hidden and now it showed up "Single"?
We are dating and actually pretty official, meaning everyone around us knows that we are dating. His parents know and met me, my parents know, his best friends know and so do my friends too. I dont care if he hidden the status so do I, I hide my status too. I dont care what kind of people became friends with him on facebook. But my concern is, it changed from hidden to single? While we are that official and exclusive?
I wouldn't care if he keeps hiding, what makes me sensitive is he changed it. Should I ask him and tell him that it bugs me? If so how can I tell him? I dont want him to feel like I am a stalker since I really never looked at his profile just now by accident. Please help...

by the way, both of us never post anything on facebook being together. We just simply think that it means nothing. We both not really active in facebook, all we got in facebook are things like family members tagging us, sharing funny videos very once in awhile.

Yeah speak to him. I changed mine and my boyfriend asked me about it, and we're the same - facebook doesn't matter to us but he was curios as to why I would do such a thing (it comes up in your feed if it changes). I was changing my details yo remove him as my boyfriend because I don't want random strangers being able to find out things about me online, and you could see on his profile who his girlfriend was and click on it, so I had to change to single to remove the link, then change to "in a relationship" with no tag.

Yea it just kind of bugging me. Like I dont wish he will change it to "in a relationship " or making any kind of announcement that Im his girlfriend on facebook, because I could imagine how many gossips would follow by. I want to try to keep it low key, as low as possible. But, I dont understand why from hidden to single? Is that facebook did changes? I didn't see he changed anything from the feed though. Urgh It bugs me...==

He's a jerk. I had a boyfriend that did that to me.. broke up over facebook.. couldn't even face me, and now we are not on friendly terms at all.

Nono, that is not the case. Its just simply a hard feeling and Im trying to figure out a way yo ask him by not making him feels like Im a stalker. Haha he is not a jerk, we are very stable in real life.

How do you know he changed it to single if it is hidden? Or did you "accidentally" log in with his profile?
If you saw it because it wasn't hidden you can tell it to him.
If it was and you "accidentally" logged in with his profile, I would consider you a stalker.

No there supposed an option on facebook that you could choose people can see your relationship status or not. Mine saying Im engaged to my best girl friend but I hided it so no one can see it except myself, and my boyfriend's was hidden like there was nothing there and tonight I was looking up one friend's facebook profile for gossip purpose while her name starts with a N and same with my boyfriend, so his name came up first and I clicked onto it by accident.

Do I understand it correctly? It was hidden when you started dating but know it shows single? Facebook sometimes changes the hide options by itself or it was a misclick on a small smartphone display.
If you don't want to ask him directly your only options are like watching if his behavior changed like not showing your relationship in public. Or just tell him the story like here and ask him. Or forget about it because you don't care about facebook anyway.

He didn't have any behavirol changes in real life. Its just that I wouldn't care if from the beginning he said single and I would never ask him to change it. Its just the feeling like we are progressing more and more while online saying we are going to a reverse way.. lol anyways, yea I know my personality well, it would bug me for awhile and I will ask him eventually then I will forget things very soon.. just atm, still bugging me.. haha

Confirm when he changed it, then talk to him about it. If he hadn't changed his status since you two became exclusive, that's one thing. But to change it recently and/or while you two are officially together? That's something else.

If they let me delete that sentence lol I dont want to make it facebook official either coz I dont want people knowing that much stuff about whether im in a relationship or who my boyfriend is. I dont really want him to change it to in a relationship either but it makes me feel kinda bad that he changed it from nothing to single? Which goes opposite that what we are doing?

How sure are you that he has actually changed his relationship status and not simply his privacy settings?

Im sure he hide it since the day I met him then I look into his facebook like a few days ago that he asked me to look for a video he posted long time ago, by that time his status was still hidden. Till today I found out by accident it says single and when u click into single it shows up his personal information like where he lives, his cellphone number, his family members etc. Which is actually weird coz as far as I know, he doesn't like people knowing his private info especially his family members and his cellphone. Im thinking to bring it up like a caution that his info is running loose on facebook? Does it sounds like Im a stalker still?

It really does sound like all he changed are his privacy settings. Before you couldn't see that it said single, and now you can. Telling him that you noticed this is hardly a big deal either way. In fact you could just straight up ask him why it says single. If you two are as official as you say you are, I think you can and should say whatever the hell you want to each other. Communication is important!

Cool haha... I will see him in person on Sunday and I will ask. Im holding back because we had a long conversation about facebook last time, saying people care too much about posting stuff on facebook proving they are happy while its so unnecessary. And I agreed on everything he said. Now things happen and its like smacking on my mouth.
