He kissed another girl while drunk what should I do?

My boyfriend went up to his hometown for Christmas and I was going to follow a few days after..

The he second night he was up there he had a big drunken night out!

Early that morning I woke to a message from my guy friends who then called me to say that he saw him kissing another girl.

I was devistated.. He eventually said he did But couldn't remember properly! He said that he didn't even talk to her, she came up, danced with him and then when she left she kissed him goodbye!

And I asked all his friends and family why he would do that!
But they were all baffled ! They said that he loved me and all he would ever do is talk about me ! And praise me!

He he has never done this before but has a big drinking problem !

He he was very remorseful and we spent the whole day crying on the phone to each other.. Him begging me to take him back !

I forgave him, I want to try work it out! But I'm still so hurt !

I understand completely how you feel right now and it's totally justified but you have to think about all the factors that go into that sort of thing... It takes two to tango so who knows, maybe it was the girl that was just completely all over him. If you have ever been drunk before then I would have to guess that you know what kind of control you have over yourself. If he honestly wants to be with you then he will be truthful with you. As for you being hurt, there is nothing that can really stop that. I know first hand. It sucks. Give him a second chance and help him be more honest with you so there is no gaps in communication then you will truly know if it's mean't to be. Good luck and Merry Christmas!

First of all, being drunk is not an excuse. I mean, of all the possible excuses it's the lamest ones. Was he so drunk that he did not know he was kissing another girl? If he was, it is still his fault for drinking so much.

Tho you said she kissed him goodbye, not the other way around. He didn't initiate the kiss, but did he stop it? If he did, then you have no reason to be upset with him, if he didn't, you have every right to be upset.

One thing to consider is while sometimes one needs to forgive, one must still not give the attitude that such behavior will be excused in the future.

Things like this are bound to happen especially if a guy is out drinking and partying. At least he apologized to you and sincerely wants to make it work with you. Thats a plus. You have some guys will lie and not be truthful. You have to give the guy credit. You have men in relationships who sleep around on their girlfriends and she knows nothing about this. Now if its something that he does consistently then I can see why you would be hurt and not want to be with him anymore.

Alcohol truly makes people do stupid shit but it is not an excuse. I say don't drink so much that you lose control or your sensibility. Every time he drinks you can't trust him. Only you can decide what to do - but it seems like his drinking may be causing a bigger problem if he can barely remember doing anything. Cheating while drunk is still cheating, it may not have been intended but people know full well that drinking lowers inhibitions. I'm sure he is remorseful, but unless he's willing to do something about his consumption I'd be wary of trying to fix the relationship

Tell him the next time he decides to get drunk and kiss another girl or do something stupid and worse, you're dumping him. Until then, forgive him and move on. That is what happens when people decide to get drunk or drink over their limit and don't think about the consequences. He needs to stop drinking and going to bars. He needs to stop drinking if you're gonna take him back. It's the only way. Otherwise it will happen again someday, because he might cut back for a while but eventually he will revert to normal. So no drinking at all.
