If I'm trying to go no contact with my ex, should I keep our Snapchat streak going since she initiates it?

So, my girlfriend (I guess my ex-girlfriend now) was recently forced to break up with me. It happened because I called the police to check on her when she said she was suicidal and had mysteriously disappeared for a few days. It upset her mother for some reason, and she forced us to break up.


Her mother said we can start dating again once she's moved out in a few months, and my girlfriend herself has told me that we aren't dating anymore because of her mom.


Now that we're broken up, I've decided to go no contact for a bit. However, she sends out stuff on Snapchat for streaks on a daily basis to all of her contacts. Should I keep the Snapchat streak, or should I just let it go and continue with no contact?

But, that's another issue I'm having. Whenever I try to talk to her, it feels like I'm annoying her and just pushing her away.

I did, and she just replied with "We can always wait." But, it'll be another five months or so till she does move out, and by that time, she'll probably have found somebody else if I don't take any sort of action.

30 day no contact. That includes snapchat, text call, fb, snail mail, carrier pigeons. Everything. If you bump into her, smile and say sorry your in a rush and you don't want to be late.

During these 30 days invest in yourself... add as many new friends (female and male) to your facebook. Go on a date or two.

After 30, hit her up on text with, hey I just saw ________ and it reminded me of you, hope you're well :)

Example, my first date with my girlfriend we played skeeball... so I would say Hey, just saw a cute couple playing skeeball made me think of you. Hope you're doing well.

When she replies ducking wait at least 90 mins to reply... but close the convo when you do...

Example "that's awesome, Hey sorry, I just picked up my friend and we're going out, talk soon"

Okay. Thanks for the advice. It's going to be tough, especially since her birthday and Valentine's day are in that 30 day time frame. Hope it'll be worth it.

One more question though: She's probably going to send me another snap on Snapchat attempting to continue the streak tomrrow. How should I respond? I was thinking of something along the lines of "Okay, but I'm choosing to respect your mother's wishes. I wish you well, and respect your decision to end things." Would saying something like that work just to let her know that I'm choosing to respect her mother's wishes instead of just vanishing? I just don't want seem rude and just abruptly end things by falling off the face of the planet. Knowing her, suddenly blowing her off without any sort of explanation will only make things worse and destroy things beyond repair. (I'll also award you best opinion since you've been so helpful.)

I wouldn't acknowledge respecting hers and her moms wishes... just send her the 😍 or nothing... I know ur thinking with logic, but logic doesn't exist in dating, emotions do.

If you give her the rollover respect ur wishes line, ur basically saying I'm a beta male that doesn't take what he wants.

Not replying, makes them think why isn't he validating me yet, why hasn't he replied yet, who is he with, maybe I should chase a little.

I know I'm just a name and an opinion, but if there is one thing I know it's pushing buttons and human interaction.
