Ex girlfriend randomly snapchats me again months after the break up?

Ex girlfriend broke up with me months ago. Recently unblocked and is now Snapchating me random photos with no context and isn’t really talking. How should I interpret these and should I be engaging?

I'd be really careful about engaging with your ex on Snapchat man. It's kinda weird that she randomly unblocked and started sending snaps out of the blue after months of nothing.

A few things could be going on here:

1. She may be bored and looking for attention/validation. Wouldn't be the first time an ex pops back up when they're lonely.

2. Could be she wants to hook up or get back together. But is that really a good idea after she broke things off?

3. Possibly trying to make you jealous or play games if she sees you've moved on.

I'd be direct and ask her what's up. Make it clear you're not tryna just be an option when she's horny or lonely. If she admits she misses you, really think hard before committing to anything again. Chances are it won't be different this time.

Protect your energy dude. Don't get sucked back into the Snapchat, maybe leave her on open. See what else is out there! You deserve better than an ex popping in and out of your life unpredictably.

Hi thank you for the reply, it’s been 7-8 months since she broke up with me. I’ve recently gotten a new job and moved to another state and she knows that through mutuals, so definitely not trying to hook up again. I have left the snap opened and then recieved another snap the next day or just a photo out. I do still have feelings for her but I’ve definitely done a lot of work to move on and putting myself out there. What do you think is a solid question to ask her about her intentions?

Ah man, after that much time has passed it is super weird that she's randomly hitting you up again out of nowhere on Snapchat. If you've both moved on with your lives in different states, her reaching out like that definitely warrants a casual question just to get some clarity on what's up.

Since things ended badly between you before, I'd keep it simple and just say something like "Hey, was wondering what made you want to add me back on Snap after all this time? Just curious about your intentions reaching out."

Keep it chill, like you're not super invested either way, but are just curious since the timing is odd. That puts the ball in her court to explain without seeming like you're accusing her of anything or still hung up.

If she tries to dodge the question or gets weird about it, then I'd take that as a sign she's probably up to no good - like just wanting attention or to mess with your head. But maybe she has a legit reason like catching up as old friends now or something. Hard to say without hearing her side.

At least asking gets you some answers so you're not left guessing. And it shows you're not afraid to be direct after what happened before. Hopefully she gives you a straight answer and you can go from there! Let me know what she says man.

Then just leave it at that unless she actually starts a proper conversation some time. You've done well moving on with your new job and stuff, so don't get sucked back into the ex drama vortex!

Maybe she just wants to keep a loose connection but isn't tryna restart anything romantic - which is fair enough after all this time. Hi sorry, I didn’t want to put too much info on it all but initially I didn’t take the break up well for the first couple of months and really tried to work it out but she wasn’t interested. Pretty much she just told me she wanted to go out and have fun and be single. I’ve put in a lot of work with moving on but I do still have feelings for her as I’ve recently discovered. We’ve been on little to no contact for 6 months now. I’ve moved to another city for a new job but yeah just recently she unblocked me and sent friend request. Now for the last 6 days she’s been sending snapchats and not really any communication or talking. Either a plain snap or one liner statements
