Girlfriend still gets messages from an Ex?

Apparently they dated like 6 years ago. He was dating my current girlfriend (Ally) while he was already seeing someone else. My girlfriend found out 6 months in but he promised to leave his current girlfriend so Ally stayed... anyway it didn't end well...

Soo now, I found out that he texts her every few months to catch up or ask about animes to watch.

My girlfriend doesn't try to hide it, but it bugs the hell out of me... I told her I dont like the story of how they dated and it makes me think that this guy might think he can get away with cheating on our relationship... ofc she denies any possibilty, and says she doesn't even reply back to him most the time...

But like why keep his contact info then?

It's ok dude it's just insecurities that are bugging you... Have a good faith in your girlfriend and your... She will never cheat you... And as like you said he messages only in few months thats all right... If he could have been messaging frequently then I might have suggested you to talk with your girlfriend and sort things between you and clear the fog... But i don't see this is big issue... Its just your mind playing games with you so just work on it... It will help...
