My boyfriend hasn't replied in 3 hours?

I'm not clingy or anything and I let him do his own thing but he hasn't replied for 3 hours and now I'm wandering what's actually going on. Like what could he be doing?

It's only 3 hours, sometimes I put my phone down and forget to check it for literally days, maybe his phone died, or he fell asleep, or is with family or friends, maybe he's doing schoolwork, or just got busy. Don't worry unless he hasn't texted you back for a few days.

You do realise that a mobile phone is not an external organ right? I mean, you won't generally die if you go without it for a few hours? You can even live a reasonable quality of life, if you go without one for 24 hours, you know that right?
