I found my boyfriend on tinder?

I met my boyfriend on tinder 5 months ago. A month into our relationship, I asked him if he had deleted his tinder and he said yes. I believed him and I let it go. I am not a distrusting person but I am pmsing right now and felt like he was up to something. I went a little crazy so I created a fake tinder and swiped and I found him!!!

I found his profile, the one he said he had deleted. I felt sick. I searched for his profile a month ago but it wasn't there so he's recently joined it seems. I asked him and he said that he told me he deleted the app from his phone but not his ID. I'm not stupid, I know he said he deleted the app and he has never tindered since meeting me and gave examples of people who forget to delete their online dating profiles. He is saying that he will delete it in front of me blah blah but I really don't want to have to police a boyfriend when it comes to things such as this.

I feel like he didn't delete it because he was saving it for later, after 5 months I expect a little more respect than that.

What do you guys think? ?

i mean it wouldn't necessarily be bad if the profile was up there since they do just say up... the problem seems to be that he lead you to believe that he was going to delete the profile and didn't. but then it becomes he said she said.

I feel like if this is the first strike against him then you should try to find a way to forgive or chalk it up to a misunderstanding (he deleted the app but not the profile)

So you may actually have nothing to worry about. When you delete the app, it doesn't delete the profile. In fact, even if you turn the profile off and deactivate it, it will still keep your profile around just waiting to be reactivated. I would trust him in this circumstance. If you think he is cheating on you, that's one thing, but he probably just deleted the app from his phone. In his mind that was enough.

Eh I don't know. My boyfriend and I still have our dating profiles that we met on but we both haven't used them in the 3 years that we have been together. I would feel upset though if he said he deleted it but still had it. That is straight up lying! But I don't know if he doesn't have it on his phone anymore then I would just try to move on from it. Unless you notice other fishy things about the relationship

He could have just deleted the app. My friend is dating a guy who she told she had deleted her tinder account but what she meant was just the app, not the account. I think you should give him the benefit of the doubt in this case. If you see him on it again after he's said he's deleted it then get worried.

I know it sounds weird but sometimes people put a lot of effort into creating online profiles on dating sites and don't feel they should have to delete them all of a sudden.

but at the same time after 5 months of dating , it does seem a bit off to need a tinder account , so I'm not really sure

sometimes the account is not deleted. also , he might have deleted the app and not the account.
