I found out he likes me, now what?

Sunday I finally built up the courage to tell the guy that I've liked since November that I still liked him. He said that he likes me as well, and has for awhile. He said we could try dating but we haven't really talked about that yet. We voice chatted yesterday but I didn't really say much which probably pretty awkward for him. It kind of bothers me that we still act that same way that we have before. I know it's only been a day, but I'm not sure what to do. I'm very confused.

Is this how things are supposed to feel after you both find out you still like each other? The biggest problem is that we used to like each other before and we were very talkative and lovely dovey.

All of this is new to me, so I'm not sure what to expect or if I should feel the way that I should.

Apart from telling him that you like him, you should have expressed your intent of having him as your boyfriend. That would make things less ambiguous than it already is right now.

It looks like you've confirmed both of your feelings now but you two don't go by the boyfriend-girlfriend label yet. Interacting as if it's a normal occurrence is quite normal at the moment because you don't consider him as your significant other/partner/boyfriend.

My point here is that it would be more fulfilling for you two to be actually dating and should go by a label that designates a tinge of exclusivity (like the aforementioned). That would probably make things less awkward for you two.
