Is it better to get something for your significant other a gift card or a chance that what you buy them they might not like?

It's going to be my girlfriends birthday and I'm not sure if I should get her something Disney related or something she might not like because right now all that comes to mind is getting her something from Disney, or I can get a gift card to do something like buy make up. Another idea was to buy the Disney item whatever it could be and take her to buy something. Any experiences?

I think it's sweet when someone takes the time to find you a gift they hope you'll like. Even if it's not smth I would have picked myself I'd still be very grateful. I don't like gift cards unless they're from far away family or acquaintances. In this case, at least for me, it really is the thought that counts.

Gift cards are the worst. It's saying... I don't know you well enough or care enough to find something i know you would enjoy.

don't get a gift card, that's very impersonal. find out what characters she likes from disney it will be much easier to choose

hi, disney really? at best a gift card but also a little gift aswell even a pair of earrings or a necklace, or a beautiful note book if she writes something special it doesn't have to be expensive xx
